Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

Position Summary

Support Java applications and services supporting Content Management Systems and functions. Ensuring that all code is compliant with requirements, security standards, best practices and aligned to the strategic deliverables supporting customer facing capabilities. Responsibilities will also include the evaluation, design and communication of new capabilities and changes to existing functional flows and processes to both users and key stakeholders in the systems operation.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience with Java and Demonstrable skill with Java middleware code development of frameworks, application programming interfaces, and web services
  • Demonstrate Java coding best practices.
  • Advanced problem solving and root cause analysis skills using server log analysis tools and techniques.
  • Experienced with SPRING & Groovy development
  • Full end-to-end business process development experience. Able to interpret user experience visualizations into working code.
  • Agile Development Experience
  • Skills in the following technologies: Java/J2EE, Web Services, Spring, Struts, Hibernate, Oracle - SQL, PL/SQL, Design Patterns, Apache Tomcat, Maven framework, XML Markup, JSON

Desired Qualifications

Documentum, OpenText, Teamsite, NodeJS, REACT, Express Framework, JavaScript, TypeScript, MySQL Database, CMS Patterns and Capabilities

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
