Job Description:
This job is responsible for serving as a finance partner to specified Lines of Business (LOBs) and providing financial analysis and guidance to support key decisions and initiatives. Key responsibilities include performing forecasting, profitability analysis, expense efficiency, pricing, financial reporting, and generating value creation ideas and new investment business cases. Job expectations include preparing insights to guide management's decision making and evaluating financial performance versus plans, forecasts, and prior periods.

The Treasury COO & Governance team designs, communicates, and supports the strategic direction of Treasury, drives/coordinates enterprise initiatives and special projects.  The role of the Treasury COO & Governance Business Support Analyst is to support business routines, drive initiatives that promote efficiency and lead the business operations for the function.

Responsibilities include ensuring people strategy tactics are implemented and success metrics are met, supporting cross-Treasury management routines, and other operational efforts. The role is also expected to support broader set of CFO and Enterprise strategic initiatives, engaging with internal stakeholders as incremental engagement and/or support work is requested of the Treasury team.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates Lines of Business (LOB) financial performances and assists with decision making by synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risks, and preparing, analyzing, and reporting on financial results and key metrics

  • Develops financial management reports, presentations, and ad hoc analyses for LOBs and/or finance partners

  • Creates forecasts and budgets by comparing current performance against plan, prior periods, prior forecasts, and budgets and evaluating current and future performance trajectory

  • Supports reporting and analysis for key constituents and management, which may include Board of Directors, Investor Relations, and/or various regulatory agencies

  • Collaborates with teams across the Finance division to ensure integrity of the financials, sound controls, and efficient and effective procedures

  • Supports new and ongoing projects and strategic initiatives by creating processes to automate key reporting capabilities and delivering on process improvements and simplifications to enable increased focus on strategic priorities

  • Manages multiple project work streams with various timelines, distilling large amounts of information into actionable insights, building out and executing strategy for engaging with business managers, associates and the broader Treasury team

  • Continually evaluates work objectives against Treasury business objectives; ability to be nimble and make changes as business priorities shift

  • Proactively recognizes downstream and upstream implications of work activities; appropriately navigates stakeholder engagement to set appropriate expectations

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services or banking

  • Highly motivated, self-starter

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Business centric mindset with ability to derive and communicate concise, impactful and actionable insights and identify approach for optimal outcomes

  • Organized, results-driven, and able to work on multiples tasks with limited supervision and on projects with minimal structure

  • Strong written communication, presentation and organization skills with ability to coordinate partners across multiple organizations to deliver well-controlled, sustainable processes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience in Finance and Treasury functions

  • Understanding of Treasury and Finance concepts and regulations

  • Experience in a COO role or supporting a Senior Executive
