Position Summary:
BMT is one of the core functions of DREAM responsible for product ownership of Business Management tools rationalization and drives the Product Strategy and Governance function. We operate in a very dynamic and fast-paced global business environment. We are looking for a talented, seasoned and highly motivated Business Analyst who will support the creation of the vision and roadmap for the development of the GT Business Tools product strategy and governance to align with strategic direction for the business and technology domains. The Business Analyst will collaborate with company leaders across lines of business in reviewing various products and vendor relationships to provide better operating practices around product, contract, and risk management. A successful candidate has prior experience bridging the gap between Procurement, Vendor Management, Finance, Legal, Enterprise Capability Model, and Risk.
Job Description:
This role is responsible for capturing and supporting delivery of business and strategic requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, capture their requirements, perform impact analysis, and then working closely with both Product and Development Team(s) to refine the requirements into specifications that can be executed by the team. Individuals in this role possess a working knowledge of the business/technical domain and the main applications and vendor products within that domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand stakeholder needs to help envision and create a solution to solve a problem.
Support cost/benefit analysis to align technology and vendor solutions to business strategy.
Provide subject matter expertise within the business/technical domain to support scope and requirement decisions
For vendor applications, work closely with the vendor to ensure changes meet bank requirements including assisting with acceptance testing where needed.
Document processes, procedures, and workflows
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to create, analyze, and improve processes and solutions
Create, maintain and present materials for end users
Required Skills:
Contributes to artifacts needed for governance forums. Understands stakeholder expectations and creates regular updates to keep stakeholders informed
Basic awareness of products, services, business flows and strategy
Understands risks and can apply the controls necessary to mitigate. Knows when to escalate risks
Collaborates with own team and across teams. Asks questions to obtain views from others.
Presents their own point of view with a clear rationale, facts and figures. Clearly displays how their proposed solution or course of action is superior to other options by using facts/evidence to support it.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrates ability to identify root causes to solve complex problems in highly unstable situations
Basic understanding of financial data and the impact that their role has within a team
