Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for new fraud strategy development or optimization of existing rules using statistical and analytical techniques to balance effectiveness, coverage, customer experience and resource constraints.

  • Partner with technology and business partners to implement new technology and new products, ensuring fraud risks are controlled.

  • Identify new sources of data (internal or vendor‐provided) that enrich our existing fraud detection processes, be added to our decision systems, and allow for new detection strategies to be developed.

  • Perform analysis of our fraud models to assess performance and effectiveness and making recommendations to continue using or redeveloping these models.

  • Work on the development of both ad‐hoc and more standardized reporting (MIS).

  • Utilize database software and analytical/reporting tools, such as Python, SAS, SQL, DB2, and Tableau.

  • Work with processes and tools such as SAS Fraud Management and other analytical software that are used for development, validation, implementation, and documentation of credit risk and/or fraud business strategies and scoring toolkits.

  • Analyze risk strategies, financial drivers, and credit/fraud operations by utilizing SAS, SQL, Excel and Tableau.

  • Summarize large data sets of data and design customized reports using Tableau to share with senior management.

  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics and Project Management, or related; and

  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related quantitative occupation.

  • Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Utilizing database software and analytical/reporting tools, such as Python, SAS, SQL, DB2, and Tableau;

  • Working with processes and tools such as SAS Fraud Management and other analytical software that are used for development, validation, implementation, and documentation of credit risk and/or fraud business strategies and scoring toolkits;

  • Analyzing risk strategies, financial drivers, and credit/fraud operations by utilizing SAS, SQL, Excel and Tableau; and,

  • Summarizing large data sets of data and design customized reports using Tableau to share with senior management.
