Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.

In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

Process Overview:

Bank of America has embarked on a multi-year transformation journey to replace its legacy payments platform with modern technology platforms. As part of the platform transformation, the bank is revamping its end-to-end ecosystem to improve operational & technological efficiency. The platform is being built in an ongoing and agile process to easily adapt to new technologies, integrate more tools, and provide a structure that can evolve over time. At the core of this transformation is the Global Payments Engine (GPE) which is running on the Finacle platform. Finacle software is a core banking product from Infosys.

The first Finacle implementation was successfully completed in Oct 2020 for Indonesia, to address the local regulatory requirement to host core banking infrastructure onshore. Since 2021, initiatives implemented include SEPA Instant, HK Real Time Payments/Cross Border and Regulatory mandates such as Indonesia Direct Debits and Indonesia RTP. The Finacle roadmap will increase significantly from 2025 with implementations across APAC, EMEA and LATAM.

Job Description

A Scrum Master is required to strengthen the GPE Team and support this multi-year transformation journey. The candidate will play a critical role in delivery on the transformation program. He/She will work with product teams, technical leads, and vendor SMEs, and will have direct accountability in ensuring that business requirements are designed and implemented as per expectations. Strong communication and engagement skills are a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and facilitate all Agile ceremonies i.e. Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
  • In a Scaled Agile model, facilitate scaled planning for the team-e.g. Pre Planning/ Preparation, PI Planning Events -and represents the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs.
  • Ensure the impediments are resolved quickly, the team follows their agreed-to processes, and that there is a good relationship between the Product Owner and the development team.
  • Facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the team.
  • Promote/facilitate communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments.
  • Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO).
  • Provide visibility into the Agile team’s delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders.
  • Leverage domain and technical expertise to set direction and drive project execution. Foresee and proactively address risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Work with business, operations, internal technology teams, and with vendor partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the vendor and internal technology teams.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations with respect to scope, deliverables, and timelines.

Requirements

Education: B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA / MBA

Certifications (if any): Certified Scrum Master, Other certification on Scaled Agile/Scrum/Kanban/DevOps practices

Experience Range: 8 – 12 years

Foundational Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as Scrum Master, with proven ability to manage delivery of complex, integration projects in a matrix organization.
  • Execution and result oriented. Strong aptitude for critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making.
  • Expertise in executive communications and stakeholder relationship management. Capable of articulating the project status and gaining alignment with stakeholders
