RFP Specialist

Job Description:

RFP Specialist supports the request for proposal (“RFP”) production for Bank of America Institutional Investments & Philanthropic Solutions. In this role, the individual is expected to work as a project manager taking the lead in collaborating with various internal business partners and subject matter experts throughout the firm to create persuasive, technical sales proposals, utilizing the team’s compliance approved database of content. The ideal candidate for the RFP Specialist role will have a solid understanding of the investment management landscape—including the outsourced CIO space—as well as the ability to learn and thrive within a large organization with multiple lines of business. The RFP Specialist role requires an individual with excellent time management and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities working under the pressure of deadlines with often tight turnaround times.

Responsibilities:

* Assume overall responsibility for proposal activities

* Coordinate all aspects of the proposal response production to assure each response meets or exceeds quality standards

* Work directly with sales teams to coordinate the proposal response including setting up timelines for deliverables

* Provide status updates in a timely fashion to sales team members and proactively alert appropriate team members of any issues; provide recommended solution for issue resolution

* Work directly with internal business partners and subject matter experts to create and update responses

* Assist in the maintenance of the content database to adhere to compliance standards

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (major in Business, English, or Communications preferred) or relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Capable of managing multiple projects at one time
  • Relationship and time management skills
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Focus on attention to detail, including grammar and formatting
  • Must be a strong individual contributor within a team environment
  • Previous RFP experience preferred
  • Financial services experience preferred
  • Experience working with content management applications such as Qvidian or PMAPS preferred
