Job Description:
Manages more complex specialty assets within The Private Bank Group with a full and in-depth understanding of all fiduciary aspects associated within a given segment of specialty assets, i.e., real estate, farm & ranch, timberland, oil & gas, private businesses. Partners closely with Private Bank relationship/client managers in proactive client service and sales activities to generate new business. Also links up closely with a Private Bank market to determine appropriate resources needed within Specialty Asset Management to obtain new business. Provides creative solutions to complex customer/asset needs. May have indirect coaching responsibilities.

The Specialty Asset Manager II is responsible for the comprehensive management of oil, gas and mineral assets held in trusts, estates, agency accounts, or corporate entities. 

  • Responsible for negotiating oil and gas leases, and managing the development of oil and gas assets
  • Involved in all aspects of lease administration, division order administration, title verification, deed/contract interpretation and preparation, domicile and ancillary probate procedures, and gas marketing
  • Review and approve payment of ad valorem taxes
  • Review and approve joint interest billings for working interests
  • Work as part of client team to prepare and present customized presentations
  • Perform annual reviews on client accounts
  • Review and make recommendations to approve or reject the acceptance of new accounts, and coordinate and assist with all necessary paperwork associated with closing accounts

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Results driven, detail oriented, and motivated self-starter
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Land/Energy Management or legal background
  • Fiduciary mineral management experience
  • Proficiency with DrillingInfo
  • RPL, CPL, or other certifications
