Job Description:
This job is responsible for driving and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include providing analytical and administrative support for LOB or ECF specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include monitoring and testing controls and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF by evaluating data to help identify, track, and report issues and control improvements for remediation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards
  • Supports the monitoring and testing of controls by evaluating data to identify issues and control improvements for remediation
  • Implements optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance (QA) practices to support business continuity efforts
  • Conducts and coordinates quality inspection reviews to enhance employee performance and control effectiveness
  • Performs QA activities including executing on controls, managing cases, and reporting results
  • Executes initiatives by identifying areas of potential testing automation, procedural updates, thematic trends, test script updates, and coaching opportunities to enhance QA program success
  • Supports the overall management of and research required for regulatory exams, internal audits, and other monitoring and inspection reviews and evaluates data and information relevant to inspection metrics to support governance activities for dashboard reporting

Line of Business Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to act as the Onboarding Test Owner Representative (TOR). This role requires engagement and collaboration throughout the testing process and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization.  The role involves partnering with the business and support functions including Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT), Global Financial Crimes (GFC), Audit, and FLU leaders. Applicants must understand business processes and controls, the associated LRR’s, policies and/or regulatory guidance aligned to the process, and the residual risk aligned to the business, to manage, identify and socialize testing needs, changes to those testing needs and results.

The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.

Key Job Responsibilities for the Test Owner Representative(s) include:

  • Interpret applicable laws, rules, regulations and/or processes and controls 
  • Identify and define testing requirements based on coverage needs 
  • Establish strong relationships with the LOB and Enterprise Independent Testing Teams 
  • Project Manage the onboard of new tests and changes
  • Participate with Enterprise Independent Testing counterparts to set priorities and balance demand and capacity, as applicable 
  • Identify Data Elements or provide contacts to identify Data Elements 
  • Review and validate preliminary results
  • Coordinate requests to dispute preliminary test results or restatement requests for final test results in writing 
  • Approve final test results 
  • Review and interpret final results of Independent testing 
  • Communicate and escalate (as required) test results and required remediation to the Front Line Units/Control Functions
  • Identify and trouble shoot defect trends
  • Partner with the LOB and testing teams on go to green plans (as applicable)
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse group of business partners spanning multiple lines of business/functional areas
  • Identifying and resolving data or process issues
  • Effectively prioritize and balance multiple efforts in a fast-paced, regulatory driven environment
  • Navigate the enterprise / source information across multiple functions
  • Prepare result presentations for Senior Management
  • Gather and organize data in order to monitor and test the effectiveness of key controls and status of mitigation and action plans
  • Prepare documentation for the tracking, monitoring, and escalation of risk related issues to management.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once by prioritization and meeting deadlines
  • Able to identify and remediate risks in a timely manner
  • Critical thinker; ability to analyze problems, deep dive, and identify both tactical and strategic solutions to address

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of AML and/or GBGM businesses preferred
  • Project management, ability to deliver change at program level
  • Strong interpersonal and overall communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be flexible and have experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects
