Responsibilities:

  • Apply programming skills to support and develop automated front office work flows in the firm's enterprise-wide system, Quartz.

  • Engage with various stake holders including product management, IT, researchers and trading desks to gather and analyze user requirements to put forward the desired software solutions.

  • Consolidate various global tools and software solutions into a single cross-regional strategic firm-wide architecture to reduce maintenance and supportability overhead.

  • Contribute to automated testing, validation and documentation to comply with firm's standards.

  • Work closely with firm's operations management teams to improve product supportability and tooling around critical production trading and risk management applications.

  • Develop tools and practices to improve asset pricing and RFQ (request for quote) delivery and supporting existing front and backend systems to improve performance.

  • Assess Financial products, Accounting standards, market practices, trade and system flows to provide creative solutions and facilitate workflow.

  • Automate manual processes and prepare customized reports using Alteryx and Tableau, and other data analytics frameworks including pandas, numpy, and scipy.

  • Develop pricing and adhoc analytical tools to improve pricing systems using Python.

  • Develop micro-services to automate trader workflows and improve system capacity in pre & post trade life cycles.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Economics, Math, or related; and

  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.

  • Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Developing tools and practices to improve asset pricing and RFQ (request for quote) delivery and supporting existing front and backend systems to improve performance;

  • Assessing Financial products, Accounting standards, market practices, trade and system flows to provide creative solutions and facilitate workflow;

  • Automating manual processes and preparing customized reports using Alteryx and Tableau, and other data analytics frameworks including pandas, numpy, and scipy;

  • Developing pricing and adhoc analytical tools to improve pricing systems using Python; and,

  • Developing micro-services to automate trader workflows and improve system capacity in pre & post trade life cycles.

  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

New York pay and benefits information

New York pay range:

$225,000 - $235,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
