The Team:

This is a new team for Debt Corporate Action function relocating to Dublin to support the FICC trading desk. The new team will be trained on the function in its current state and expected to quickly learn the process then look to implement change to streamline the process. The team will also need to build new relationships with the FICC business and all impacted stakeholders within the flow.

Role Description:

An exciting opportunity has become available within the EMEA Asset Services department.  The department is responsible for the management of Voluntary and Mandatory Corporate Action events within EMEA markets.  Dublin Asset Services is a globally aligned function reporting to the Global Head of Asset Services. The department works closely with colleagues in London, US, and Asia Asset Services. 

Asset Services play an important role in the life cycle of a trade and they work closely with other Operational teams and external parties to ensure risk on corporate actions is managed effectively.
This role offers direct interactions with a variety of different lines of business (including Fixed Income Trading Desks, Swaps, Stock Loan and Custody) and as such the ability to build and retain good relationships with these stakeholders is important.  The role calls for an enthusiastic, attention to detail, driven analytical thinker with leadership skills.  

Responsibilities:

  • You will manage risk and escalations on high value CA events.
  • You will organise the team to effectively complete CA events accurately and timely.  
  • You will train, coach and mentor direct reports, evaluating performance and providing timely feedback.
  • You will manage, reconcile, and execute elections within tight timelines.
  • You will reconcile, calculate, and book CA entitlements for a variety of business units
  • You will post payment reconciliations of stock and cash accounts.
  • You will maintain risk thresholds as outlined by senior management. 
  • You will investigate and resolve queries from key stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • You will manage positions and recovery of funds claimed by Bank of America Merrill Lynch from external counterparties and monitoring of outstanding balances. 

What we are looking for:

  • You will have people management experience leading a team
  • You will have knowledge of Banking / Financial services industry. 
  • You will have product exposure, Asset Services or Settlements experience ideally
  • You will have a track record of supporting product and delivering operational support for a top tier financial institution.
  • You will have a high level of client service skills.
