Job Description:

The Vice President - BFC Product Lead is responsible for leading associates in Hong Kong FICC team, performing the Business Finance and Control function for the APAC Non-Linear Structured Rates business.

Key responsibilities:

Performance and supervision of BFC core functions including but not limited to:

  • Valuation Control including application of technical Independent Price Verification and Valuation Adjustment techniques, requiring an understanding of complex interest rate derivatives.

  • New transaction review and substantiation for new structured payoffs.

  • P&L & Balance Sheet controls and analysis.

  • Oversight of month-end closing, financial disclosure reporting.

  • Project engagement to drive operational excellence.

  • Value-added business support including analysis and management of scarce resources.

Skills/experience in order of importance:

  • Good understanding of Fixed Income, FX and Rates Products.

  • Valuation experience of complex swaps and options.

  • Control focused, analytical, team oriented, attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Advanced Excel skills with ability to streamline/eliminate spreadsheet usage.

  • Experience of leading small teams.

  • Good working knowledge of accounting concepts.
