Process Overview*

CFO testing is a risk-based program to identify & confirm data gaps in various high risk financial regulatory reports filed by the bank like FR- Y-9C, FR- Y-15, FFIEC 031/041, FFIEC 009, FFIEC 101 & Liquidity Reports. The team also forms an integral part of the remediation work required for MRA raised by FRB for Regulatory Reports filed by the bank.

Job Description*

The CFO testing team is responsible for testing high risk regulatory reports such as FR Y-14, FR Y-9C, Y-15, FFIEC031/041, 009, 101, 102, Liquidity Reports etc. to identify and report any material errors, omissions, and control weaknesses in preparation of these key reports, such that these issues are formally raised and remediated towards improving the data quality.

This position will work closely with some of the key stakeholders/LOB to execute the enterprise-wide framework, methodology, procedures/guidelines for CFO Testing team. This position will interact with various levels of management, drive process improvements, and gain exposure to a wide variety of the Company’s businesses as part of an expanding CFO Testing team.

Responsibilities*

  • Responsible for daily development and execution of assigned data quality testing and Profiling covering various data lifecycles, exercising judgment, deep technical expertise and critical thinking to detect, identify and uncover data quality issues and confirm accuracy and completeness of data within Bank systems. 
  • Works closely with test partners, report owners and key stakeholders to support data profiling and testing activities, operates and adheres to established testing framework(s) and proactively establishes checks and balance activities to avoid delivery issues.
  • Key role in the communication and reporting of the testing work being performed and proactively and positively influences any resistance received from test partners and data stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifies process and procedural enhancements with respect to Data profiling and testing tools.
  • Adherence to established testing policies and procedures, employing professional skepticism to ensure high quality for, and defend-ability of, all accepted testing data and evidence.
  • Perform QA/test execution of various regulatory reports & products.
  • Stay current on latest FRB requirements and guidance on key regulatory reports.
  • Prepare/Update program governance documents.

Requirements*

 Education*

Commerce Graduate/Chartered Accountant/CPA/CFA/CPA/MBA/Master's degree or equivalent in Accounting and/or Finance Certifications If Any

Experience Range*

6 years to 9 years

Foundational skills*

  • 5-7 Years of experience in Independent Testing, Application Management and/or Data Management
  • 5-7 Years of statistical data analysis
  • 4-5 Years of SQL development
  • 4-5 Years of Regulatory reporting experience (FRY 14 M / Q / A  /Call report etc.)
  • 2-3 Years of Python, Tableau
  • Strong data quality knowledge (Accuracy, completeness, timeliness dimensions, data risk mitigation, etc.)
    • Strong understanding of database concepts
  • Strong oral & written communication and comfortable presenting to a wide variety of audiences (PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS word)
  • Comfortable leading and influencing with and without direct authority.
  • Resourceful/ proactive in situations when not all information is available or there is no apparent “right” answer.
  • Capable to navigate conflict to enable productive solutions.
  • Close attention to detail
  • Experience working on global delivery model.
