Role Description:

Bank of America’s International Asset Finance business provides asset finance solutions to large corporate clients across the EMEA region.  International Asset Finance finances a broad range of asset classes including shipping, rail, over the road transport, construction, mining and technology.  The IAF team in EMEA is constituted of dedicated originations, transaction management, credit underwriting, risk management, equipment management, pricing, legal and operations professionals in London, Dublin and Frankfurt.

The business is seeking to hire a Syndications professional to enable the business to lead multi-bank club and syndicated facilities, maintain portfolio liquidity, validate market pricing and terms and centrally manage financial institution relationships across the EMEA region.  The role is critical to driving growth in the business, delivering comprehensive solutions to clients and managing risk

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the distribution activities for leasing and asset finance transactions originated in EMEA

  • Maintain investor relationships across EMEA, including arranging regular in-person investor meetings

  • Prepare teasers, information memorandums, term sheets and other due diligence materials for investors

  • Prepare and present pricing validation and syndication marketability appraisals to deal approval panels

  • Attend client meetings to provide market updates on investor appetite

  • Support the Head of IAF and senior originators in the team’s efforts to structure, originate and execute leasing and asset finance transactions in EMEA on liquid and market clearing terms;

  • Undertake client research and preliminary desktop credit analysis

  • Prepare internal transaction memos for circulation to various deal approval panels

  • Work closely with Transaction Management, Pricing, Equipment Management, Legal, Credit and Risk Management to ensure transactions are appropriately vetted, executed and monitored

  • Regularly coordinate and communicate with a global syndications team in the U.S., EMEA and APAC

  • Liaise with Corporate and Investment Banking associates across the bank’s EMEA branch network including Financial Institution coverage bankers.

What we are looking for:

  • Undergraduate degree

  • Post graduate degree or qualification in business, economics, accounting or finance

  • Minimum of 7-years professional experience in a financial institution

  • Intimate knowledge of secured lending products including leases and loans

  • Deep asset finance experience and market knowledge

  • Experience in, and knowledge of, shipping and transportation financing, large ticket manufacturing and/or structured cash flow based financing is an advantage

  • High attention to detail, excellent communication skills, excellent time management skills

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and a familiarity with Bloomberg

  • Accustomed to working in a transaction-based environment with demanding deadlines

  • Fluency in multiple languages is an advantage;

  • Availability to travel within EMEA, on both regular and ad hoc, transaction specific basis.
