Role Description:

Join our dynamic Global Information Security team in safeguarding Bank of America’s information systems, confidential data, and customer information.   As the Senior Identity, Access Governance and Policy Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the modernization and development of the Bank’s identity and access management services, specifically the permissions and services catalogue, with co-development of the overall strategy in partnership with stakeholders, management of the operational business playbooks, monitoring & reporting of controls adherence, and supporting regulatory, audit & compliance queries.

In this role, strong technical and business acumen will be utilized to support secure, risk-based practices for all lines of business within Bank of America ensuring Identity and Access Management, a critical security discipline, enables the right identities to access resources at the right times and in the right context.  IAM addresses the mission-critical need for appropriate resource access across diverse technology environments while meeting rigorous compliance requirements.  Be part of our inclusive workplace where everyone’s contributions matter!

Responsibilities:

As an individual contributor, you will:

  • Oversee identity lifecycle and access governance activities including developing, maintaining, and facilitating the adoption of policy, standards, processes, and procedures.

  • Development, evolution and management of policies, standards, processes and playbooks to meet business, security, regulatory, legal and compliance requirements, objectives and goals.

  • Build business requirements to drive innovation with internal and public cloud integration of identity and access management practices.

  • Evaluate and implement solutions to strengthen access controls through automation, data enrichment and enhanced mechanisms, ensuring company protection.

  • Support programs and initiatives to modernize overall practices, processes and related technologies.

  • Collaborate across organisations units and management levels, utilising technical and business acumen to support secure practices within broadly defined practices and policies across all businesses.

What we are looking for:

  • Individuals that are results & business focused and successful at interfacing across multiple organisation units, at various management levels.

  • Knowledge/experience/exposure with information security topics, including the design, development, testing, implementation and governance of information security practices and solutions.

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of access management, risk identification and mitigation, as well as project management skills.

  • Proven experience of practitioner experience with Identity and Access Management / Identity & Access Governance / Information Security Technologies.

  • Proficient grasp of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts including identity and account lifecycle, account reconciliation and correlation, request access, automated access, role-based-access, hierarchical role model, role mining, birth-right provisioning, access certifications, segregation of duties, and entitlement risk assignment.

  • Motivated, adaptive learner with a deep understanding of a wide range of technology applications, platforms, and tools.

  • Ability to identify, analyse and address problems to resolve issues leveraging approaches that minimizes negative impact and risk to the business operations

  • Design and implement IAM processes to enhance security, ensure compliance and automate governance across applications and infrastructure.

  • Perform access governance activities including developing, maintaining, and facilitating the adoption of policy, standards, processes, and procedures.

  • Development and management of policies, standards, processes and playbooks to meet business, security, regulatory, legal and compliance requirements, objectives and goals.

  • Build business requirements to drive innovation with internal and public cloud integration of identity and access management practices.

  • Evaluate and implement solutions to strengthen access controls through automation, data enrichment and enhanced mechanisms, ensuring company protection.

  • Support programs and initiatives to modernize overall practices, processes and related technologies.

  • Collaborate across organisations units and management levels, utilising technical and business acumen to support secure practices within broadly defined practices and policies across all businesses.

What we are looking for:

  • Deep experience advising strategies related to authentication, privileged access management, and IAM enforcement in public clouds are essential for this role.

  • Individuals that are results orientated, business focused and successful at interfacing across multiple organisation units, at various management levels.

  • Knowledge/experience/exposure with information security topics, including the design, development, testing, implementation and governance of information security practices and solutions.

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of access management, risk identification and mitigation, as well as project management skills.

  • Demonstrated practitioner experience with Identity and Access Management / Identity & Access Governance / Information Security Technologies.

  • Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts including identity and account lifecycle, account reconciliation and correlation, request access, automated access, role-based-access, hierarchical role model, role mining, birth-right provisioning, access certifications, segregation of duties, and entitlement risk assignment.

  • Motivated, adaptive learner with a deep understanding of a wide range of technology applications, platforms, and tools.

  • Ability to identify, analyse and address problems to resolve issues leveraging approaches that minimizes negative impact and risk to the business operations

  • Analytical / problem solving / conceptual thinking skills.

  • Microsoft Office Proficient (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Etc.)

  • Skills with influencing partners, senior management, peers and subordinates through an inclusive style that recognizes their abilities and knowledge.

  • Knowledge and / or experience with Active Directory Domain Admin (Active Directory design & architecture, Group Policy, Windows Server, Security, Active Directory troubleshooting) in production environment
