Senior Data Analyst

Job Description:

The Analytics and Information Strategy (AIS) team is part of the Enterprise Credit organization.  The primary focus of the AIS team is to produce and communicate high-quality, fit-for-use, and concise data and information related to Global Banking and Enterprise Credit. This team is responsible for defining and enhancing Enterprise Credit data processes, including platforms, reporting, governance, data management and data remediation. This Senior Data Analyst role supports the AIS Data Initiative and Strategy (DIS) team with a focus on leadership of the Model Data Development and Climate Change workstream. 

The Senior Data Analyst will support and participate in impact assessments and data analysis, data remediation efforts, be engaged with prioritization and reporting of data quality issues, and engaged with business and technical stakeholders.  The scope of work includes defining how data is managed and sourced across multiple upstream lines of business and within the Enterprise Credit data infrastructure.  Responsibilities include supporting adherence to enterprise data quality standards, as well as, identification of capture, transport and data use issues.  Additional responsibilities include defining value-added analytics and solutions that support revenue generation, risk management, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, portfolio management, and research.  Interaction and direction of supporting Technology teams will be expected.  Knowledge of Enterprise Credit processes, organizations, data and systems is required.  Traditional systems analysis skills are a plus.

•  Highly motivated, proactive and a self-starter; strong sense of ownership & ability to create and execute plans without daily oversight

•  Critical thinker; ability to analyze problems and identify both tactical and strategic solutions to address

•  Organized; able to effectively prioritize and balance multiple efforts in a fast-paced, regulatory driven environment

•  Knowledge of data management (data quality, metadata management, governance, etc.) and BI/data management tools and applications

•  Experience with credit-related processes and systems including the distribution/use of credit data for analytics, modeling, and reporting

•  Able to identify and remediate risks in a timely manner

•  Able to navigate the enterprise / source information across multiple functions

•  Data analysis experience with moderate SQL or Oracle skills

•  Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) experience and strong understanding of data relationships

•  Good verbal and written communication skills

•  General knowledge of bank financial practices and policies

Desired Skills:

•  Degree in business, computer science or related discipline

•  Experience with Wholesale Credit products and functions; familiarity with Wholesale Credit policies and procedures

•  Familiarity with Wholesale Credit systems

•  Project management and/or process design experience
