Wholesale Credit Strategy Process Design Consultant II

Senior member of the team transforming the way Bank of America implements Wholesale Credit. This opportunity engages with team members and business partners to explore, analyze, implement, and update processes by utilizing process improvement methodologies and techniques. Works with business subject matter experts (SMEs) to design or redesign business processes. Integrates best practices found within the businesses while also creating new and better ways of doing work. Researches to identify pain points / points of variation and provides recommendations to drive continuous improvement. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. (May need to build action plans to drive execution). Will use influence skills to lead teams to achieve process or project objectives.

This role is part of the Wholesale Credit Strategy team with focus on process improvement and may partner with Platform and Technology to lead technology initiatives.  Requires ability to communicate (written and verbal) clearly and concisely with senior leaders.

This role will be responsible for effective process analysis, design, and execution for strategic initiatives and manages the development, business case development, and execution of Wholesale Credit process design / redesign strategies. The team integrates with all Wholesale Credit lines of businesses, Loan, Lease, & Trade Operations (LLTO), and other business partners.

This position will interact with business users (SMEs) as well as technology, project management, operational risk, credit risk, audit/compliance, legal, learning, communication partners, as well as senior executives.  The ability to influence and lead diverse groups is a key factor for success in this role. The ability to plan, drive, and lead teams to results is imperative.

Required Skills:

  • Wholesale commercial credit knowledge
  • Familiarity with credit systems and processes
  • Process improvement, design / engineering
  • Strong analytical / data analysis skills - minimum intermediate Excel
  • Process map development and design skills (Visio)
  • Strong communication and power point presentation skills; able to target messaging to different audiences
  • Ability to navigate enterprise, research, and resource information across the bank
  • Ability to work independently – set and manage plans, achieve results
  • Highly organized and able to effectively multi-task and plan/manage deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to drive action and sustain momentum / results oriented
  • Strong ability to establish relationships with partners and peers across teams in order to achieve optimal results
  • Strong ability to influence and lead diverse groups to achieve desired results

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of wholesale lending environment, organizational alignment, strategic priorities
  • High level knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Consulting experience
  • Knowledge pf six sigma methods / Black or Green Belt certified
  • Commercial credit lending and portfolio management experience
  • Familiarity with credit applications including Risk Rating Scorecard (RRSC), Global Monitoring Solution (GMS), Global Underwriting Solution (GUS), Workplace, CreditCenter, Moody's Risk Analyst (MRA) / CreditLens (MCL) / BizAnalyser (BZA), Loan Accounting system (LIQ)
