Associate/VP, e-Trading Quant Developer

Within the FICC Quantitative Strategies Group is our global e-Trading Strats group, one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. As asset classes accelerate their adoption of electronic trading, e-Trading will continue to be recognized as a focus of future investment and a driver of innovation.

Role Responsibilities:

                                        

This role will require a combination of technology development skills with good quantitative skills. The role involves work developing and supporting the server side components of market making, pricing, and hedging applications used by the global electronic trading systems. The role will require close interaction with the traders, understanding their requirements, and developing and/or enhancing existing solutions to meet their needs.

Competencies:

•            Interfacing with front-office traders to gather specifications/requirements

•            Develop robust systems with an eye towards performance, supportability and maintainability

•            Strong development practices including pairing, code reviews, unit testing and regression testing

•            Collaborative attitude when interacting with other developers, support, and front-office

•            Financial markets experience

•            Good quantitative skills, coupled with sound knowledge of applied econometric techniques and the ability to work with large datasets

•            Java and Python proficiency
