Global Risk Management

Global Risk Management (GRM) leads company-wide initiatives for managing risk and sustaining a strong risk culture, including the development and implementation of independent risk management measures.

GRM is responsible for managing the bank's risk framework and key risk types including strategic risk, credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, compliance risk and reputational risk. We oversee the company’s governance and strategy for global risk management, including relationships with key regulators and supervisory institutions worldwide.

Additionally, our teams ensure that the company pursues its Responsible Growth strategy through strong risk management practices while deploying its capital appropriately to support business activities and maximize shareholder value.

We strive to make our company a great place to work by providing a wide array of opportunities for employees to grow personally and professionally through training offerings and employment engagement initiatives. These include the Quantitative Analytics Development Program, which focuses on the application of quantitative methods to solve complex business challenges. Participants gain real, in-depth experience and are provided with micro and macro views of risk management for the bank. They are also given the opportunity to determine solutions to business problems by applying quantitative methods to specific financial challenges.

Candidates looking to join our Global Risk Management team should possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, a drive for operational excellence and a commitment to achieving sustainable results. Strong academic and technical skills in Microsoft Office and applicable technical expertise in certain programming languages and analytical tools (role depending) are desired. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate proficiencies in leadership, teamwork, problem solving, analytical skills and verbal and written communication.
