What we’re looking for:
- Penultimate-year Undergraduate or Master’s student with a strong academic track record, seeking a Summer Internship with the opportunity for 2028 full-time conversion
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets and a strong motivation to build a long-term career in the financial services industry
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with keen attention to detail and the ability to think strategically and creatively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates initiative, leadership potential, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Adaptable and quick to learn, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and manage changing priorities effectively.
- Strong client focus and interpersonal skills, coupled with sound judgement and a collaborative mindset. High level of professionalism and commitment to excellence.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese is highly advantageous.

Global Investment Banking and Global Capital Markets provides strategic advisory and capital-raising solutions to corporations, financial institutions, and governments worldwide. Interns work alongside bankers across industry, product, and country coverage teams, gaining exposure to live transactions and client engagements spanning mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and other corporate finance activities. Responsibilities include conducting company, industry, market, and investor research; building financial models and valuation analyses; supporting transaction execution and due diligence; preparing client presentations; and evaluating the optimal timing, size, and structure of financing solutions. Through close collaboration with professionals across the firm's global network, interns develop strong analytical, technical, and communication skills while helping deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
Global Corporate Banking provides strategic advisory, financing, risk management, and capital-raising solutions to a broad spectrum of corporate clients. Interns gain exposure to client coverage activities by supporting bankers in managing client relationships, responding to client requests, and assisting with transaction execution. Responsibilities include conducting financial and industry analysis, performing company research, preparing client presentations and internal reports, and supporting onboarding and due diligence processes. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers, product partners, and colleagues across the firm's global network while contributing to live client projects and developing practical insights into corporate banking and relationship management.
Global Payments Solutions provides working capital solutions to businesses, financial institutions, and governments globally, including liquidity management, payments and receipts, trade and supply chain finance, foreign exchange, and commercial card services. Interns gain hands-on experience supporting client-focused projects, conducting company and industry research, preparing presentations and proposal materials, and participating in client meetings and follow-up activities. The role offers exposure to solving client challenges, supporting revenue-generating initiatives, and collaborating with teams across the bank. Interns also have the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders and subject matter experts while developing project management, communication, and analytical skills in a global business environment.
Enterprise Credit is a front-office function that partners closely with other business groups to deliver credit solutions and manage risk for corporate and financial institution clients. Interns gain exposure to credit analysis, portfolio management, and transaction execution through evaluating clients’ financial performance, business strategy, industry dynamics, and regulatory environments. Responsibilities include conducting financial and statistical analysis, preparing credit memoranda, performing company and industry research, and supporting ongoing portfolio monitoring. The role also provides opportunities to develop knowledge of a broad range of banking products, legal documentation, internal policies, and regulatory requirements while working alongside senior professionals and cross-functional teams across the firm's global network.
Global Markets provides a broad range of sales, trading, financing, and risk management solutions to institutional, commercial, and corporate clients. Interns gain exposure to financial markets through supporting sales and trading activities, conducting market and quantitative research, analyzing market trends and macroeconomic developments, assisting in the structuring and execution of transactions, and helping develop investment and risk management solutions tailored to client needs. The role also offers opportunities to work closely with clients and product partners, contribute to marketing initiatives, support new product development, and communicate complex financial concepts and market insights in a clear and impactful manner.
Program Overview
The Summer Program is a 10-week program designed to provide Summer Analysts with a unique opportunity to gain exposure to life at Bank of America and also make significant contributions to the team. The Summer Program begins with an orientation and induction to the firm. Summer Analysts are given a true associate experience, as assignments mirror full-time responsibility and include goal setting and a formal review process.
