Job Description:
This role is responsible for defining an architectural vision and architecture for large, complex solutions that align with enterprise architecture strategy, technology, and platform choices across Business, Application, Data, and Technology domains. The position evaluates system impacts, defines solution intent and operating environments, supports end-to-end solution design, establishes non-functional requirements, and ensures solutions are fit for purpose through collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to architecture roadmaps across Business, Application, Data, and Technology domains in support of product roadmaps.
- Develop and promote architecture best practices and standardized templates.
- Partner across business and technology teams to create solution intent and architectural vision for large, complex initiatives.
- Evolve architecture designs based on emerging business requirements and backlog priorities.
- Lead development of high-level architectures that are flexible, modular, and adaptable.
- Support strategic technology decisions and architecture governance.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in solution, application, data, or enterprise architecture.
- Experience designing and delivering large-scale, complex technology solutions.
- Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks, design patterns, and system integration.
- Experience defining target-state architectures, roadmaps, and technology strategies.
- Expertise in security, scalability, performance, reliability, and other non-functional requirements.
- Experience leading architecture reviews, design reviews, and proof-of-concepts (POCs).
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working within Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Financial services or banking industry experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and release automation practices.
- Experience with enterprise architecture governance and standards.
- Expertise in API, microservices, event-driven, and distributed architectures.
- Knowledge of data management, metadata, and modern data platforms.
- Architecture certification (TOGAF, Azure, AWS, or equivalent).
- Experience mentoring architects and engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of technology risk, compliance, and controls.
- Experience driving technology modernization and transformation initiatives.
