Responsibilities
Support the origination and execution of investment banking transaction mandates for large-cap corporate and middle market clients and financial sponsors including providing M&A advice and execution for large corporate clients and private equity firms.
Prepare materials for clients and participate in client meetings during the course of investment banking deal origination and execution as well as conducting rigorous quantitative financial analysis and qualitative analysis, as well as workflows for clients.
As an active member of the deals team, lead due diligence processes for investment banking transactions and serve as the primary contact and advisor for clients, which includes receiving daily calls from clients with respect to projects managed and coordinating internally to ensure client needs are met.
Prepare financial models and analysis, including detailed valuation analysis, such as: LBO analysis, discounted cash flow, accretion and dilution, IPO pro forma analysis, comparative company analysis, and sum of parts analysis among others.
Oversee analysts and associates on client coverage, origination and transaction execution teams and coordinate with the team to pro-actively generate ideas and solutions to meet client needs.
Draft engagement letters, confidentiality agreements and other documents related to investment banking transactions.
Attend and oversee client meetings with prospective buyers in sell-side M&A processes, including management presentations and due diligence.
Supporting internal transaction and capital commitment committee processes such as Fairness Committee, Equity Commitment Committee and Leveraged Finance Committee.
Execute investment banking transactions and processes in a global bulge bracket firm environment, including both M&A and capital markets products on domestic and on cross-border basis.
Conduct research using Euromonitor, Factset, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and Factiva to analyze market data and competitive dynamics.
Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Required Skills & Experience
Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related: and
3 years of experience in the job offered or a related Finance occupation.
Must include 3 years of experience in:
Global bank/bulge bracket investment banking transactions;
Executing investment banking transactions and processes in a global firm environment, including both M&A and capital markets products;
Preparing financial analysis, including detailed valuation analysis, such as: LBO analysis, discounted cash flow, accretion and dilution, IPO pro forma analysis, comparative company analysis, and sum of parts analysis;
Conducting due diligence in connection with investment banking transactions;
Preparing materials for clients and participating in client meetings during the course of investment banking deal origination and execution; and,
Leading teams of junior investment bankers to execute transactions, prepare client materials, and manage transaction processes.
