Job Description
This position will be responsible for managing two teams: Firm control that performs reconciliations over control accounts, boxes and market balancing plus Corporate Actions including all mandatory and voluntary events including related tax. The candidate must ensure that all processes are executed with strong governance, risk, and control discipline, including adherence to internal and external requirements. The position is also expected to drive continuous improvement initiatives and effective use of systems and tools while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and industry standards.
Responsibilities
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within documentation processes
Promote innovation by bring in new ideas and solutions to enhance efficiency and team engagement
Collaborate across teams and affiliate stakeholders on front to bank opportunities to reduce client impact and risk
Responsible for staff reviews and development plans
Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in the Brokerage industry supporting Capital markets with 5+ years of direct people management
Broad experience across multiple trade support, operations, or related capital markets disciplines
Proven people leadership experience, including leading teams and managing performance
Strong commitment to talent development, including coaching, succession planning, and creating meaningful development opportunities for team members
Experience in process improvement, project implementation, AI tools would be advantageous
The candidate should have exposure to regulatory rules, industry clearing, depository functionality and general trade processing plus settlement flows
Strong understanding of Risk and Control frameworks
Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated success leading projects and process improvement initiatives that strengthen controls, reduce risk, and improve operational efficiency
Active participation in industry associations, working groups, or committees is considered an asset
