This role is responsible for performing end-to-end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across businesses and providing utility over-the-counter derivative confirmation and settlement services. Duties are carried out under general supervision, following established procedures. These individuals may assist more experienced teammates.
LOB Job Description:
The Global Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities Operations (GFICCO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across GFICCO businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses.
Within GFICCO, the teams provide multiple services such as GFICCO trade control, settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations.
The Commodities Trade Control Team is seeking a Trade Control Analyst to join our growing team
This role supports the expanding Global Commodities business covering multiple products, and instruments. Full technical training will be provided
Our role is focused on supporting the trading desk, and being responsible for trade validation/ reconciliation, trade amendments, regulatory & management reporting, process and risk improvement and issue resolution.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is intellectually curios, keen to develop, and has a great attention to detail all whilst working in a fast paced, diverse and rapidly evolving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Trade Validation – reconciling trades to ensure trades are booked accurately in the system.
- Performing trade amendments to correct booking errors.
- Investigating and resolving breaks – Working closely with Sales, Trading and Operations to resolve breaks.
- Work on ad-hoc request
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in either Math, Finance, Engineering or Tech
- 2-3 years Commodities experience
- 2-3 years of line work experience in Middle Office or Trade Control
Keen desire for learning and intellectual curiosity
Detail oriented
Good controls mind set and risk appetite
Experience working to tight deadlines
Good communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority
Excellent organizational skills are required with the ability to priorities daily workload whilst working accurately in a high-energy environment
Keen analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation
Logical approach to problem solving - taking ownership and offering practical solutions
Has a full understanding of lifecycle of a trade
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ETRM system (Endur Openlink) a plus
