Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing analytical support in a Global Operations function for one or more operations product areas. Key responsibilities include analyzing and resolving highly complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exceptional handling and coordination of multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. Job expectations include managing projects and the introduction of new initiatives, systems, products, services, and processes and coordinating necessary expertise across multiple operations functions and products.

LOB Job Description:

Ops Professional Markets  provides hands-on operational leadership and execution support across Global Markets Loan Operations, serving as a senior subject matter resource for assigned processes. The role focuses on driving high-quality, timely execution, supporting complex and escalated issues, and ensuring adherence to established procedures, risk controls, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Confirms loan documentation for accurate trade settlements
  • Partners with Sales Associates, Traders, Research Analysts, trading counterparties, internal and external attorneys, administrative agent banks, and various other internal operations groups
  • Manages post-trade management and logistics, settlement pricing, and closing coordination
  • Analyzes and resolves highly complex operational problems
  • Supports ad-hoc projects for new processes or industry initiatives
  • Processes loans end-to-end with accurate data input into various credit and operating systems
  • • Provide Team Support and oversight for daily operational activities across assigned processes, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and service expectations are consistently met
  • • Coordinate team workload, prioritize tasks, and support resolution of complex, escalated, and client-impacting issues
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the business and Technology, supporting system usage, issue resolution, and platform enhancements
  • Manage heavy external client-facing communication, including escalation management, troubleshooting, and ongoing relationship support
  • Support new client onboarding to the platform, including education, readiness, and transition to steady-state operations
  • Partner with external clients to drive adoption and utilization of new system features and capabilities
  • Utilize AI and automation tools to streamline operational processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual effort
  • Generate system enhancement ideas and partner with Technology through development, testing, and implementation
  • Participate in and support business continuity testing and resiliency exercises for supported platforms and processes
  • Work closely with business partners to design and evolve the optimal operational model to support new products, structures, and initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to operational procedures, internal controls, and applicable regulatory and risk management standards
  • Identify process gaps, operational risks, and inefficiencies; recommend and support implementation of process improvements
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Technology, Compliance, Audit, Risk, and Finance) to support audits, testing initiatives, and control assessments
  • Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 plus years of lending or loans experience
  • Strong understanding of operational processes within a financial services or regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead work efforts, coordinate tasks, and support team execution in a fast paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively under pressure
  • Risk minded approach with the ability to identify issues, apply controls, and escalate appropriately
  • Client focused mindset with confidence in supporting client facing interactions when required
