Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading product experts supporting client engagements, account management, closing complex and high dollar deals, and/or emerging solution opportunities with strategic clients. Key responsibilities include serving as the product sales or industry expert in client calls, identifying opportunities and influencing solutions, and driving collaboration between product, sales, and client relationship teams to package marketing leading solutions that address client challenges.

Responsible for strategic client management, mining and deepening merchant solutions for existing relationships and for driving SPR and client satisfaction

  • Contract and pricing renewals

  • Identify and advise clients on program/platform optimization, Interchange management and minimize total cost of acceptance

  • Prepares and conducts client business reviews

  • Partner closely with Merchant Sales New Business and Implementation during transition of client following implementation.

  • Facilitate the addition of new locations/products/services.

  • Deep understanding of a client’s commerce ecosystem and the ability to consult on ways to integrate BofA product solutions

  • Card brand compliance management

  • Work across a matrixed coverage organization to achieve objectives - including working closely with banker and TSO to uncover and advance opportunities

  • Provide strategic guidance to help clients stay ahead of merchant trends and be committed to delivering the solutions that make commerce easier Directs the management of escalations to the appropriate teams across the Merchant organization to ensure resolution.

  • Assists manager in identifying training opportunities

  • Coaching and mentoring for new team members

  • Identify improvement opportunities and lead cross-team improvement initiatives

  • Provide coverage for manager as needed

  • Portfolio may include most complex merchant clients

  • Manages client engagements and reviews, account management, complex deals, and/or emerging solution opportunities with clients to grow market share through deal support

  • Serves as a bank representative presenting at key industry events, leading consultative discussions at multiple levels of the organization, and providing product line expertise

  • Assists banking line partners in understanding treasury management, product risk, and ensuring applicable policies are applied through the sales cycle

  • Manages the strategy and tactical execution of segment initiatives across all major Lines of Business, driving collaboration between product, sales, and client relationship teams

  • Identifies and develops responses to emerging product trends, competitive strategies, and market gaps

  • Develops and implements programs and policies in partnership with market leadership to drive Global Treasury solutions and local market strategies

  • Acts as the product or industry expert in client call planning and strategic client reviews, identifying opportunities and influencing solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

  • Ability to cultivate and strengthen client relationships with senior business and IT staff member

  • Ability to technically consult with C-level executives within client environment

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision toward the achievement of personal and team goals.

  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, including written, oral and presentation skills.

  • Effective planning, prioritization and time management acumen.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, OneNote

  • Ability to quickly learn various sales applications

Desired Qualifications:

  • Healthcare industry experience a plus

  • Demonstrated experience working with 3rd party VAR’s / Integrators and payment gateways

  • Understanding of payment applications, merchant services industry applications, accounting systems, competition/competitive landscape in the payments industry, enterprise resource planning systems (ERP), data security (PCI), file formatting, and data transmissions
