Process Overview*
Retail Credit Operations (RCO)
Supports clients and investors with vehicle or home loans –from the time a loan closes to the time it’s paid off. Functions include home loan servicing, mortgage default activities through liquidation and servicing for specialty products like vehicle loans, Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Balance Assist. Functions include: Mortgage Servicing Administration, Mortgage Payments & Accounting, Mortgage Solutions, Default Operations & Specialized Oversight, Post Sale & Default Services, Centralized Mortgage Portfolio Services, Specialty Product Servicing.
The team performs the reviews on data validation & recorded calls for FLU partners transparency into adherence with current policies, procedures to ensure alignment with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. It conducts reviews on control areas covering multiple Mortgage & Vehicle Servicing Operations functions. In-line and postproduction at both the associate and process level. Standardized & approved checklists to ensure consistency. Results are available to Quality Assurance and Front-Line Unit (FLU) Partners on the completion near real time and are retained in a centralized reporting site.
Job Description*
This role is part of Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) – Retail Credit Operations (RCO) Testing. EIT is a control function that performs independent testing to ensure robust governance and appropriate oversight process is in place. It assesses that controls are effective, complete, and appropriate through our risk management process – Identify, Measure, Monitor and Control. Testing is performed on controls set in various stage of product life cycle for Home Loans, Mortgage and Vehicle Servicing Operations, Financial Center Operations, and others, to determine the effectiveness, applicability, completeness, accuracy and timeliness for various activity performed by RCO teams.
Responsibilities*
- Ability to understand the functionality of the tests being conducted and write meaningful test scripts and cases.
- To complete testing for various controls per the department’s calendar/schedule in a time bound manner without any deviations.
- Reporting/Escalation of testing discrepancies, issues and/or questions to appropriate contact.
- Ability to work independently & challenge the Line of business with the gaps identified as applicable.
- To work closely with Onshore and Offshore Processes and test effectiveness of controls.
- Ensure that all testing documentation is audit compliant.
- Gather and analyze requirements
- Assist in preparing and reviewing the process test strategy and test plan
- Review and validate test results and defect reported by the EIT Testers
- Defect and issue identification, logging, tracking, resolution, and reporting
- Tasks status communication to Leadership Team (EIT- Team Manager)
- Ensure testing commitments are met and communicate potential impacts to target dates to the LOB Partners/Leadership Team
- Identify risk to testing and communicate to the EIT- Team Manager
- Help identify and implement new process improvement.
- Assist in existing process improvements. Adhere to all EIT - Testing processes and procedures
- Conduct Training for new EIT Team members.
- Build and manage strong working relationships.
Education*
Graduates or Post-Graduates in Business, Commerce, Banking, Accounting, Software
Certifications If Any

- Ability to communicate, share ideas and influence people across all levels.
- Sound knowledge on MS office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Capital Markets product knowledge would be an added advantage.
