Job Description:

This job is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for solutions at the program or portfolio level, to deliver significant business outcomes. Key responsibilities include continuously improving the design, quality, and reuse of the solution and delivering technology enablers that improve development efficiencies for the solution. Job expectations include familiarity with at least one area of engineering, acting as a “go to” reference across the organization, and applying knowledge to improve technical competencies through recruitment and development activities.

  • A transformational Senior Technology Leader who has led large-scale payments data and analytics platforms, delivered AI-driven insights capabilities, modernized enterprise data ecosystems, strengthened data governance and regulatory compliance, and partnered closely with business leaders to drive growth, operational excellence, and client value across global payments.

  • Proven experience leading architects, engineers, and product owners across multiple geographies.

  • Demonstrated success building and executing technology strategy aligned to business outcomes.

  • Strong executive presence with ability to influence senior business, operations, risk, and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops the engineering approach for the entire program/portfolio solution and works with Architecture, to develop/analyze/deliver the implementation of technical enablers

  • Leads the planning, definition, and design of the complex features which span multiple teams and explore solution alternatives

  • Creates ideas on designing complex technology and solution development approaches

  • Leads the technical oversight for teams in solution development including design reviews and code within own domain

  • Defines the technology tool stack for the solution within ranged of internally approved and supported technologies

  • Explores state-of-the-art technologies to improve development efficiencies, quality of test/QA coverage, and release management

  • Leads and is responsible for the end-to-end test strategy/creation/adherence, and the integration between teams for a program/portfolio solution

  • Responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for Global Payments Insights and Business Intelligence at the program or portfolio level to deliver significant business outcomes.

  • Expert in areas of engineering and acts as a "go to" reference across the organization. Accountable for the engineering approach for the entire program/portfolio solution. 

  • Leads the planning, definition, and design of the complex features which span multiple teams and explores solution alternatives.

  • Creates ideas on designing complex technology and solution development approaches - e.g. boundary condition coverage for complex technology issues. Helps validate the economic impact of design decisions.

  • Leads the technical oversight for teams in solution development including design reviews and code within own domain.

  • Accountable for defining the technology tool stack for the solution within ranged of internally approved and supported technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of technology leadership experience leading large global teams.

Payments & Financial Services Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of global payments, treasury services, cash management, liquidity, receivables, and transaction banking. Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including Wire Payments, RTP/Instant Payments, ACH, Cross-Border Payments, ISO 20022, Regulatory and compliance reporting. Experience supporting large-scale payment platforms and data environments.

Data & Analytics Leadership

  • Experience leading enterprise analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, and AI/ML teams. Proven track record delivering: Executive reporting platforms, Operational analytics, Client insights, Regulatory reporting solutions, Self-service analytics capabilities

  • Expertise with modern data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, streaming platforms, and cloud-native analytics solutions.

  • Experience managing enterprise data products and authorized data sources.

Modern Data Platforms & AI

  • Strong understanding of:  Data Fabric architectures, Metadata management, Data observability, Data quality frameworks, Data lineage, Governance-as-Code, AI/GenAI-enabled analytics, Experience leveraging AI to improve business insights, operational intelligence, and decision-making.

  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid architectures.

Technology & Engineering Depth

  • Hands-on understanding of:  Distributed data platforms, Real-time processing, API ecosystems, Event-driven architectures, Data engineering frameworks, Analytical platforms, and BI tools

  • Experience modernizing legacy platforms and driving cloud transformation initiatives.

  • Experience establishing enterprise data governance programs. Strong knowledge of: Data controls, Data quality management, Data lineage, Metadata management, Risk and audit processes, Regulatory reporting requirements

  • Ability to drive trusted, compliant, and AI-ready data ecosystems.

Technology & Engineering Depth

  • Hands-on understanding of:  Distributed data platforms, Real-time processing, API ecosystems, Event-driven architectures, Data engineering frameworks, Analytical platforms, and BI tools

  • Experience modernizing legacy platforms and driving cloud transformation initiatives.

  • Proven ability to translate business strategy into technology roadmaps.

  • Experience partnering with: Product organizations, Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Audit

$156,500.00 - $230,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
