Role Description:
An exciting opportunity to join our Greece & Cyprus Investment Banking team in London. The team provides strategic advice and capital markets solutions to leading corporate, financial sponsor and government-related clients across Greece and Cyprus, leveraging the full spectrum of the bank's global capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Successful candidate will be an integral member of the team and will work closely with senior bankers, product partners and industry coverage teams on the origination and execution of a wide range of transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt financings and other strategic advisory assignments.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the execution of M&A, equity and debt capital markets transactions, as well as strategic advisory assignments
Working closely with product and industry teams on transaction execution and business origination initiatives
Building and reviewing complex financial models and valuation analyses, including DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions, LBO and merger models
Leading the preparation of client presentations, marketing materials, pitch books and transaction documentation
Conducting detailed company, industry and market research and translating findings into actionable insights
Analysing corporate and financial information to support strategic dialogue and investment recommendations
Coordinating workstreams across internal teams and external advisors to help drive transaction execution
Building and maintaining sector expertise and staying abreast of market developments relevant to the Greece and Cyprus client base
What we are looking for:
Proven investment banking experience, preferably within M&A or corporate finance advisory
Fluency in both English and Greek
Strong academic record with an undergraduate degree from a leading university; relevant postgraduate qualifications are advantageous
Excellent accounting, corporate finance and valuation knowledge
Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
Demonstrated transaction execution experience and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast paced setting
Strong project management, organisation and problem-solving capabilities
High levels of professionalism, motivation and intellectual curiosity
