Responsibilities

  • Support the origination and execution of investment banking transaction mandates for middle market and emerging growth clients, types of transactions include buy and sell-side M&A, private capital raises as well as capital markets processes, including debt and equity offerings.
  • Prepare materials for clients and participating in client meetings during the course of investment banking deal origination and execution.
  • Lead due diligence processes for investment banking transactions across products.
  • Draft and negotiate engagement letters, confidentiality agreements and other documents related to investment banking transactions.
  • Attend and oversee client meetings with prospective buyers in sell-side M&A processes, including management presentations and due diligence.
  • Support internal transaction and capital commitment committee processes such as Fairness Committee, Equity Commitment Committee and Leveraged Finance Committee.
  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related: and
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related Finance occupation.
  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Executing investment banking transactions, including both M&A and capital markets products, in a global / bulge bracket investment bank environment;
  • Preparing a variety of detailed financial and valuation analyses, including levered buyouts, discounted cash flow, accretion and dilution, liquidity, merger, comparative company, precedent transaction and sum of parts analysis;
  • Conducting due diligence in connection with investment banking transactions, including business, financial, legal, and audit matters; and,
  • Preparing materials for clients, including presentations, financial models, and offering documents as well as participating in client meetings during the course of investment banking deal origination and execution.
  • In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.
  • 10% domestic and international travel required, as necessary.
