Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Handle the design, development, and implementation of custom trade surveillance solutions using Actimize and Informatica toolsets.
- Research and analyze data processing functions to identify areas for maintenance and enhancement of existing and new applications.
- Collaborate with line-of-business leaders and technology teams to define requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and scripts for Actimize and Informatica repositories to ensure efficient data processing.
- Oversee build and release orchestration processes, ensuring smooth deployment and integration of system updates.
- Implement and maintain data quality frameworks and techniques in large data warehouse environments to ensure data integrity.
- Participate in Agile software development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery of features.
- Perform performance tuning of Oracle SQL queries to enhance system efficiency and scalability.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related: and
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
- Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
- Using Actimize (Risk Case Manager, Intelligent Server, Case Manager Designer), Oracle/PL SQL, and Informatica (Analyst, PowerCenter, Developer, Debugger) to design, develop and optimize ETL workflows to ensure compliant, scalable, and high performance surveillance and data processing;
- Applying ETL performance optimization techniques—including multithreading, partitioning, and pushdown optimization—along with Autosys, Oracle RDBMS, SQL/PLSQL, Unix shell and Perl scripting, and Tableau to automate, tune, and monitor end-to-end business processes for operational sustainability;
- Using Jenkins, Ansible, and Bitbucket for code versioning, automated builds, configuration management, and deployment across all environments to ensure controlled and reliable software release cycles using Agile and Waterfall methodologies;
- Developing complex SQL queries and creating Informatica and Actimize repository queries to support high volume data integration, transformation, and analytics within enterprise systems;
- Implementing data quality frameworks, performing Informatica upgrades/migrations, and developing Unix/Perl scripts to automate controls and maintain stability in largescale data warehouse environments; and,
- Applying Capital Markets and trade surveillance domain expertise within a compliance organization to support regulatory monitoring, controls, and risk detection requirements.
