Responsibilities
Work independently and perform risk management and trading activities with limited direction from more senior staff.
Maintain a scope of activities and authority defined by trading limits, transaction control, and book marking.
In the absence of senior traders, ensure that end-of-day is accurate and reflects our market’s view.
Execute transactions in accordance with established trading strategies and risk parameters.
Collaborate with structuring to contribute to the formulation of long-term strategies used for desk, sales and clients.
Provide technical and product support to more junior associates.
Run daily PNL and reconcile issues with Finance group.
Assist developers with the automation and improvement of workflow.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Engineering (any), or related field: and
2 years of experience in the job offered or a related Quantitative occupation.
Must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:
Using financial trading software to facilitate and execute trades in equity derivatives and other financial products;
Using pragmatic market knowledge in equities, equity derivatives, and other asset classes to make trading and hedging decisions;
Assessing the pricing and liquidity of different equity derivative products under different economic conditions to provide pricing, trade ideas, and solutions to clients; and,
Automating manual processes that require large data sets including Python to prepare customized reports.
