Responsibilities

  • Estimate the work necessary to realize a story or requirement through the delivery lifecycle.

  • Perform spike or proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.

  • Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement or story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.

  • Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) to design and develop client requirements.

  • Contribute to story refinement and define requirements.

  • Resolve technical complexities involved in realizing story work.

  • Participate in estimating the work necessary to realize a story or requirement through the delivery lifecycle.

  • Design, develop, and modify architecture.

  • Design and develop production-ready software for data warehousing solutions using Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle, SAS, Java, Informatica, and CI/CD deployment.

  • Utilize Linux, code, debug, and use scheduling tools like Autosys.

  • Design and develop new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with Apache Spark, SAS, Informatica, and Teradata Cloud.

  • Develop complex Teradata SQL-based ETL and analytic workflows using native utilities including BTEQ, TPT, and FastExport.

  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related: and

  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.

  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Designing and developing solution architectures to scale backend systems using Python, Java, Spring Boot and rest specifications;

  • Utilizing full stack engineering, Linux, coding, and debugging;

  • Designing and developing production ready software using web, cloud, and distributed technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Microservices, and CI/CD cloud deployment; and,

  • Designing and developing new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with cutting edge technologies such as Elasticsearch, Redis, and Kafka.
