Responsibilities:
Design and develop complex requirements to accomplish business goals.
Ensure that software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
Ensure solutions are well designed with maintainability, ease of integration, and testing built in from the outset.
Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, with extensive use of design and architectural patterns at this level, specialization typically occurs in Architecture, Test Engineering, or DevOps.
Contribute to story refinement and define requirements.
Participate in and guide the team in estimating work necessary to deliver a story or requirement throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Perform spikes or proofs of concept as needed to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
Code solutions and unit tests to deliver requirements or stories based on defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
Utilize multiple architectural components—including data, application, and business layers—in designing and developing client requirements.
Assist the team in resolving technical complexities during story implementation.
Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while maintaining architectural integrity.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for integration, regression, and performance testing.
Set up and develop continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Automate manual release activities.
Mentor other software engineers and coach the team on CI/CD practices and automation tools.
Customize the Merchant Services fraud detection platform for payment transaction fraud detection using proprietary products such as the Lusis Fraud Detection Engine.
Convert Experian PowerCurve decisions into in-built Drools Business Rules Management solutions.
Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Required Skills and Experience :
Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related: and
3 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:
Utilize tools, Splunk, ELK Stack, Apache Kafka, Brainiac rule engine, and Marvel rule engine to conduct fraud detection and oversee payment networks, leveraging rule engines for real-time decision-making, dynamic policy enforcement, and adaptive fraud prevention;
Architecting and implementing scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, REST specifications, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, API gateways, OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security, and CI/CD pipelines for robust, high-performance, and secure applications in order to conduct fraud detection and oversee payment networks;
Designing and developing solution architectures to scale backend systems using Python, Java, Spring Boot and rest specifications;
Utilizing full stack engineering, Linux, coding, and debugging, in order to design, develop, and optimize end-to-end solutions, ensure seamless integration across platforms, enhance system reliability, and deliver high-quality user experiences;
Designing and developing production ready software using web, cloud, and distributed technologies including Apache Spark, Hadoop, Microservices, and CI/CD cloud deployment; and,
Designing and developing new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with cutting edge technologies including Elasticsearch, Redis, and Kafka.
