Job Description:
APAC Network Services Internal Networks team is responsible for end-to-end engineering and deployment of network infrastructure services within Bank of America. In this role, you will design, implement, and support enterprise grade network infrastructure across routing, switching, wireless, and remote access technologies. You will play a key part in ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance connectivity across our global environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for hands-on implementation, engineering, and deployment of new services into production.
- Work with support teams, lines of business and 3rd parties that BofA connect to build end-to-end solutions that balance business, security, availability, and resiliency requirements.
- Eliciting, analyzing, and documenting technical application and service requirements.
- Maintain designs patterns and provide feedback into architectural standards.
- Active participation in the change management process.
- Manage stakeholder requirements across projects and ad-hoc consulting.
- 3rd level escalation for troubleshooting issues on the production network.
- Identifying and managing the mitigation of risks within the environment.
- Ensuring documentation is updated to reflect new additions to or modifications in the environment and handed into Operations successfully.
- Collaborate with global engineering domain leads and operations teams from service design through operations transition process for new services.
Skills:
- 10 years with hands-on experience in Network Engineering & Deployment team preferably in the banking and finance industry.
- Strong knowledge of networking communication principles, network standards, and network security practices.
- Strong understanding of DMZ architecture principles, segmentation, and security zoning (Internal, External, Enclave etc)
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS) and WAN technologies (MPLS/VPLS)
- Experience in engineering and deployment of network solutions including Routing and Switching (Cisco/Arista) and secure connectivity: VPNs, tunneling (IPSec, SSL/TLS, GRE, MACsec)
- Ability to design and validate secure network flows across DMZ zones, NAT, and DMZ ingress/egress patterns
- Experience in vulnerability remediation and risk mitigation in DMZ environments
- Experience in network analytics through packet capture (Sniffer) analysis and end system diagnostics (Netscout).
- Expertise in creating Application and network diagrams including all pertinent flows and decisions.
- Capability to summarize complex issues into executive summaries.
- Ability to motivate and drive execution, with performance driven with the necessary intensity and optimism to succeed and deliver.
- Possesses strong analytical skills and root cause investigation techniques with a desire to expand horizon to next-gen products, applications, and technology.
- Familiar with product deployments within a global banking environment.
- Willing to work some irregular hours based on the needs of global operating model and the location of clients.
- Communicate with business partners at an enterprise level, interfacing with internal business representatives and information security partners.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify gaps, challenge others with positive intent, and drive debate towards identification and remediation of underlying risks.
- Knowledge of regulatory risk management in Technology and Information Security domains preferred.
- ITIL processes knowledge: Change Management, Incident Management, Request Management, and Problem Management
- Maintain designs patterns and provide feedback into architectural standards.
- Active participation in the change management process
Desired Skills:
- Subject matter experts in Network Services technologies and provide leadership and strategic/tactical direction related to the successful deployment network projects.
- Eliciting, analyzing and documenting technical application and service requirements.
- Understanding in Automation (Python, Ansible, YAML, REST API, XML and JSON).
- Manage stakeholder requirements across projects and ad-hoc consulting.
- Working experience of Agile techniques and use of Jira
- Working Knowledge of Market Data delivery networks using both TCP and UDP multicast with an ability to comprehensively troubleshoot through these networks
