Job Description:
FOR PRIVATE WEALTH MANAGEMENT ONLY. The Relationship Manager supports the Financial Advisor team to further develop and enhance existing client relationships. He or she provides specialized support as a Specialist/Manager in any one of the teams specialized roles of Business Development, Wealth Planning, Investment Management, or Business Management in addition to spending more than 50% of their time on relationship management activities. Assist with and attend client meetings and discussions covering investment strategy, account performance, new products, and market developments in an effort to promote growth and acquisition. Engage portfolio managers, product specialists and/or team Senior Wealth Planner and Investment Management Specialist to support the coordination all sales and service activities. Works with the Financial Advisor and/or team Senior Business Manager to develop, implement, and monitor the teams client service model. This position may be responsible for the provision of residential mortgage loans, and as such, is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential mortgage loan originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Since this position requires SAFE Act registration, employees are required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

The Westmoreland Group is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering a high-touch, responsive experience across all client needs. This role works closely with Private Wealth Advisors to deepen relationships, support investment discussions, and ensure seamless execution of the team’s client service model. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in coordinating resources, engaging specialists, and driving an elevated client experience that supports growth and retention.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial services, with a proven track record of delivering white glove service and building trusted, long-term client relationships. They will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to anticipate client needs while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires a proactive, service-oriented mindset, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to ensure a seamless and elevated client experience.

Relationship Managers further develop and enhance existing client relationships. They spend the majority of their time on relationship management activities, acting as a key point of contact for clients on any non-administrative requests/needs. They assist with and attend client meetings and discussions covering investment strategy, account performance, new products, and market developments in an effort to promote growth and acquisition. They engage portfolio managers, product specialists and/or relevant team members to support the coordination of all sales and service activities. They work with the Financial Advisor and/or team Senior Business Manager to develop, implement, and monitor the team’s client service model.

Role Responsibilities

  • Identify and own the client onboarding process

  • Document client interactions and provide team with time sensitive updates

  • Execute on team service model

  • Assist the Financial Advisor Team and/or Senior Business Manager in developing, and monitoring the team's client book segmentation strategy

  • Engage specialists/partners to address client's needs

  • Identify and own the client off boarding process

  • Attend client review meetings to assist in re-discovery conversations, capture notes and follow up in Salesforce, and track all actions/activities to ensure highest level of client service

  • Monitor and report on client satisfaction and manage the resolution of client escalations

Role Requirements

  • Either Series 7 and 66 licenses or Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses; must obtain all state registrations held by the Financial Advisor(s) and Advisor Team(s) they support

  • SAFE ACT Registration

  • Individuals in this role are required to maintain a Form ADV -2B, which provides clients details on individuals experience and educational background, along with other requirements governed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”)

  • Obtain and/or maintain at least one firm approved designation

  • Possess and demonstrate strong communication skills

  • Ability to lead through collaboration and influence without direct authority

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the suite of Wealth Management products and services

  • Proven ability to manage risk and support sound decisions

  • Ability to research escalated client issues for response/resolution
