Job Description:

The APAC Equities Platform team is looking for an individual to take responsibility for defining and delivering derivatives-related platform and product priorities across the Equities Sales & Trading business.

The role will focus on the end-to-end lifecycle, systems and platform capabilities supporting derivatives trading; including pricing, trade capture, lifecycle event management, risk and P&L representation.

This will require the candidate to become deeply familiar with derivatives products and workflows across APAC Equities desks, as well as the underlying systems architecture supporting these businesses.

The role entails developing a strong understanding of trading, structuring and risk management workflows; translating business requirements into scalable platform capabilities. The successful candidate will act as a core subject matter expert and a critical bridge between Front Office, Technology and Product teams; driving platform evolution to support both existing derivatives flows and new business initiatives (e.g. options market making, structured products expansion).

Role:

  • Define product strategy for derivatives-related platform capabilities in close collaboration with Trading, Structuring and Equities management
  • Define detailed design requirements in conjunction with key partners including Technology, Sales & Trading, Compliance, Legal and Operations
  • Manage and govern key Equities platform investment initiatives related to derivatives workflows, risk and lifecycle management
  • Drive analysis of derivatives trading flows, lifecycle processes, and system dependencies to identify opportunities for standardization and scalability
  • Establish clear business cases and work with management to prioritize platform investments aligned to APAC Equities strategy
  • Actively influence decisions around the end-to-end derivatives trading lifecycle and the broader Equities platform architecture
  • Work closely with Technology and Product partners to maintain oversight of platform delivery, investment progress and regulatory obligations

Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive derivatives platform product strategy across Equities:
    • Define and document platform capabilities required to support derivatives trading, pricing, booking and lifecycle management
    • Capture and prioritize business requirements from Trading and Structuring desks, translating into scalable product solutions
    • Define KPIs and success metrics focused on platform stability, scalability and time-to-market for new initiatives
    • Monitor industry, client and competitor trends to ensure platform capabilities remain relevant and forward-looking
  • Ensure ongoing delivery of critical platform capabilities:
    • Maintain governance and oversight of derivatives-related platform investments and priorities
    • Partner closely with Technology to deliver robust, scalable solutions across pricing, booking, lifecycle and risk/PnL systems
    • Influence and shape future platform design decisions in conjunction with Equities management and business leads
    • Support new business initiatives through platform readiness and capability development (rather than operational or trade-level support)

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of derivatives products and trading workflows (e.g. options, structured products lifecycle, pricing and booking models)
  • Experience in a Product, Trading, Structuring, or Risk-related role with exposure to trading systems and platform design
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work across Sales, Trading, Structuring, Product, Technology and support functions globally
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to operate in a dynamic and evolving environment
  • Ability to translate complex front-office requirements into structured product and platform solutions
  • Highly motivated with strong desire to learn both business workflows and system architecture

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with trading system design, lifecycle event management or risk/PnL platforms
  • Experience with structured notes (design, booking, lifecycle or platform support)
  • Exposure to equities or cross-asset derivatives platform architecture
  • Understanding of operational and system risk within trading environments
  • Some technical literacy (e.g. data models, APIs or similar)
  • Familiarity with Python (for data analysis, prototyping or workflow optimization)
  • Project or product management experience (Agile delivery, backlog management, governance)
