Job Description:

The Global Markets Platform Group is looking for an individual to take responsibility to manage change and transformation initiatives with specific focus on Operating Model design. The role will focus on all aspects of large scale transformation including establishing metrics, OKRs/KPIs, building out playbooks and driving end to end process change as well as delivering cultural and operating change to the way in which Global Markets approaches technology, product and operational delivery and execution of its initiatives.

The role requires the candidate to be deeply familiar with wholesale transformation having led large scale efforts at similar institutions and within Global Markets. An understanding of SLDC processes and end to end technology delivery from inception and funding through development, testing, deployment and post delivery checks and verifications is essential.

This further entails having a deep understanding of the markets, clients, technologies and products associated with these functions. The successful candidate will be a core subject matter expert and a critical pillar in driving business and technology strategy, implementing best in class technology solutions and helping deliver meaningful change across the Global Markets infrastructure.  

Responsibilities:

  • Define target Operating Model strategy in close collaboration with Global Markets leadership, Technology and associated support functions
  • Define and implement detailed OKRs/KPIs to measure the success of transformation efforts as well as success of ongoing Platform & Technology delivery and processes
  • Manage and govern key Global Markets processes and playbooks in conjunction with Technology leaders
  • Drive detailed analysis of Global Market’s current operating model and deliver detailed, data driven and objective recommendations for enhancements
  • Establish coherent, well roadmaps for implementing change with clear governance and reporting routines to support
  • Be an active participant in discussions and influence decisions around the end to end lifecycle and the strategic technology architecture across Global Markets
  • Work closely with Technology and Product partners to maintain oversight of our investments, progress and adherence with regulatory obligations
  • Own and drive the strategy for Global Markets Operating Model and Transformation;
    • Define and manage and govern key Global Markets processes and playbooks Document requirements and ensure product delivery aligns to user requirements and architectural strategy
    • Measure operating model baselines and define KPIs, SLOs, SLAs and other target metrics
    • Explore industry, client and competitor trends to ensure BofA remains relevant and forward looking
  • Ensure the ongoing delivery of critical product as follows:
  • Robust governance and management of core investments and priorities
  • Work and collaborate with IT and Support partners
  • Influence and shape future investment and design decisions in conjunction with management and business leads

Skills:

  • Technology and Transformation background with strong understanding of Technology SDLCs, Global Markets and Financial institutions
  • Highly familiar with Global Markets functions and workflows with a data driven and automation first mindset
  • Experience delivering and driving large scale operating model transformations in the Financial industry
  • Comfortable managing diverse stakeholders and challenging status quo and current operating principals
  • Excellent communicator able to traverse from granular developer level interactions up to senior leadership
  • Strong team work and ability to collaborate with others
  • Excellent problem solver with an ability to work independently and comfortable working in a fluid environment with shifting priorities
  • Highly motivated and strong desire to learn business and new technologies
  • Some coding/scripting experience (with knowledge of best practices) in Java/Python preferred
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 registered
  • Product Management certifications/Experience
