Global Business Services

Global Business Services supports all Lines of Business and control functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations. Global Business Services is recognized for flawless execution, sound risk management, operational resiliency, operational excellence and innovation. In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services. 

Process Overview*

The CFO India platform provides offshore finance delivery and transformation support to Line of Business (LOB) and Enterprise Finance teams, delivering end‑to‑end CFO capabilities across financial accounting and close, financial control and compliance, financial planning and analysis, management and regulatory reporting, financial operations, finance systems, and finance change and ledger modernization initiatives.

CFO Data Management India team was set up in 2023 as a part of the CFO Global Delivery strategy to provide offshore delivery to CFO Data Management, part of Enterprise CFO functions, consolidating legacy functions of Finance Data Management and Treasury Data Management. The capabilities hosted include Data Analysis, Product specialists with understanding of underlying Data for Regulatory Reporting, Reconciliations, Management Reporting & Analysis, Research & Analytics, Financial Transaction Processing and Finance Systems Support

Data Management team enables the Finance Organization and supports data needs of finance business users.

The Data Management team engages in various activities (including, but not limited to):

  • Regulatory Reporting related data management Activities: Team support activities related to US Regulatory reports, data validation and resolution of Data quality issues.
  • Team performs a critical role in providing centralized support for products such as Loans, Deposits, Derivatives, Cards etc. Data Quality/Validation and analysis for internal and external regulatory reporting.
  • Team is engaged in activities such as validation of data for regulatory reports, data quality issue resolution, data reconciliation with authoritative sources and posting adjustments. Team actively works on strategic initiatives aimed at improving the quality of numbers reported in regulatory reports.
  • Data Sourcing and provisioning: This includes defining and implementing data provisioning strategy to source the data from all lines of business into regulatory reports and management reports. Team is actively involved in sourcing initiatives where it works with various source systems, technology teams and report owners to source the data into regulatory reports as per regulator and stakeholder requirements.

Job Description*

Supporting Global Regulatory Reporting team to enrich the regulatory reporting by performing Daily, and Monthly Data Controls and Reconciliations to cover data Gaps and needs to perform set of controls for reference data management at product and reference data level. Built and test Data controls on SQL and implement via Alteryx. Data controls and data validations and reconciliations are to achieve a greater control on data prior the submission of regulatory reports to regulators.

The role will involve collaborating with multiple onshore business partners across the bank to understand different reporting systems. The candidate will be required to understand the regulatory reports and need to proactively engage with the onshore change management and technology teams responsible for improving our data quality and assist efforts on feed development / enhancement and overall process design to close the gaps identified. Also, the candidate should have advanced level of Alteryx and SQL knowledge to work on process enhancement and automations.

Responsibilities*

  • Monthly/Daily production run of DQ/DV control checks for US Reporting
  • Perform root cause analysis of data gaps and drive remediation
  • Understand, explore and achieve the scope of automation and remediation after coordinating with downstream and upstream stakeholders like middle office, finance operation and other related business functions
  • Engagement with Global Regulatory Reporting and Product’s SME and other stakeholders to discuss the new requirements via intake forms and to understand the new requirements along with the expansion on validation and analytical process.
  • Partnering with external and internal auditors to drive the soundness and successfully execution of internal control programs
  • Reconciliation of GL balances with Data sources for identifying gaps and drive resolution
  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders at varied levels to align on key objectives and provide data control oversight and proactively escalate and mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to applicable regulators and policies
  • Design and Development of data controls
  • Work with business partners to expand data quality/data validation and analytical processes
  • Visualize data gaps using Tableau

BE/B Tech./MCA/ MBA Finance or equivalent qualifications

Experience Range*

0-3 years of Techno-Functional experience in Finance/Banking domain with SQL/Alteryx/Tableau experience.

  • Ability to frame effective prompts to generate accurate, relevant, and reusable AI outputs
  • Experience leveraging AI for data analysis and insight generation, including variance analysis, trend identification, and preparation of executive‑ready summaries
  • Sound judgment and risk awareness, including the application of appropriate checks, controls, and human review when leveraging tools, data, or automated outputs
  • Ownership and accountability for end‑to‑end outcomes, quality, and timelines, with proactive escalation of risks and issues

Flexible between 10:30 AM till 10:30 PM (9 hours shift between this window)
