Job Description:
• The Senior Cybersecurity Sector Engagement Lead operationalizes the firm’s external cybersecurity engagement strategy by building strategic partnerships and enabling cross-sector collaboration to strengthen enterprise and industry resilience
• Leads coordination of cybersecurity engagement activities with peer institutions and industry partners to enhance information sharing and collective defense
• Ensures alignment between external engagement and internal cybersecurity priorities, facilitating effective collaboration across teams
Responsibilities
• Advance external cybersecurity partnerships across industry organizations (e.g., FS ISAC, FSSCC) and trade associations; prioritize engagement based on strategic value, risk reduction, and business impact
• Lead engagement with key external stakeholders, including industry groups, and peer financial institutions, to address cybersecurity risks and enhance sector resilience
• Drive cross-sector collaboration and information sharing to support collective defense, strengthen situational awareness, and improve coordinated response to cyber threats
• Coordinate internal participation across cybersecurity functions (e.g., threat defense, cybercrime, resilience) and ensure effective SME engagement in external activities
• Partner across internal stakeholders (technology, cybersecurity, legal, risk, and lines of business) to align external engagement with enterprise priorities and operational objectives
• Represent the firm in industry forums, working groups, and collaborative initiatives addressing cybersecurity risks and emerging threats
• Maintain governance and oversight of external forums, working groups, and board-level participation
Required Qualifications
• Experience in cybersecurity, risk management, or related field
• Experience in external engagement, public-private partnerships, or industry collaboration
• Experience within financial services or critical infrastructure sectors
• Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders across cybersecurity, legal, risk, and business functions
• Knowledge of cybersecurity risk, threat landscape, and financial sector dynamics
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives and multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a focus on risk-based decision making
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable insights
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to influence horizontally and vertically across diverse teams and leadership levels
Desired Qualifications
• Advanced degree in cybersecurity or related discipline
• Experience working with sector organizations (e.g., FS ISAC, FSSCC, BPI)
• Proven relationship management and influencing skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
