Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing standard research, reporting, and analytical support for the delivery of end-to-end support for Global Markets sales, trading and underwriting business for securities, foreign exchange, fixed income, exchange traded derivatives, and over-the-counter derivatives across multiple Lines of Business. Key responsibilities include carrying out duties under general supervision and assisting teammates while following established procedures.

An exciting opportunity to join the GFICCO (Global Fixed Income, Currency, Commodities Ops) Operations Team. The role requires analysis and ownership of a variety of FX (Foreign Exchange) operational processes in a challenging and fast paced environment, ensuring sustained proficiency and accuracy for all tasks; responsible for the confirmation and settlement of FX transactions and any subsequent investigation and resolution of exceptions/breaks. The team also support the regional settlement of Mergers and Acquisition related transactions. Communication by phone and email is required whilst providing exceptional customer service to both client and internal service partners. This role provides a fantastic learning opportunity and exposure to front to back processes such as; Trading/Sales, Technology, Client Onboarding and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the businesses overall strategies and learn how we operate.
  • Contribute to the development of business intelligence to support performance analysis and process enhancements to deliver a sustainable design model. 
  • Performs research and conducts standard analyses using established techniques, including transactions that require special handling and exception handling
  • Explores methods to enhance processes, further reduce risks, and boost client experience
  • Partners with colleagues on the trade and sales support teams, as well as external agents
  • Creates reports and liaises with internal partners to ensure proper client reporting and assist with regulatory reporting
  • Escalates potential risks and exposures to manager in a timely manner
  • Assists with ad-hoc projects, new processes, or initiatives requiring coordination among subject matter experts representing multiple product areas or functions

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of capital markets experience
  • 1-3 years of Microsoft excel experience 
  • An effective and clear communicator across various levels within the organization with an ability to influence positive outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workload through fluctuating volume periods; ability to multi task whilst managing competing priorities and deliveries.
  • Self-motivated individual who demonstrates and encourages collaboration within and beyond his/her team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Logical approach to problem solving; intellectually curious
  • Continuous learner with a desire to become a subject matter expert within the team.
