Job Description:
This job is responsible for the analysis and resolution of highly complex credit and tax operations processes and issues that require coordination of multiple stakeholders to resolve. Key responsibilities include adhering to defined procedures and regulatory requirements, while managing projects and initiatives in support of process improvement or updates to procedures. Job expectations include supporting effective coordination across key stakeholders groups, including business controls and governance organizations.
As a Bank of America Tax Operations and Control Consultant, you will join our Global Banking and Markets (GBAM) Tax Operations and Control team. The team manages the operational tax responsibilities arising from the activity of our GBAM clients, they are responsible for tax documentation, withholding and reporting processes globally. In this role you will be responsible for executing tax processes and controls, as well as running governance routines over tax processes. You will be performing business analysis and project management activities arising from the team’s responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• You will execute tax operations processes and controls
• You will develop an understanding of end-to-end GBAM tax processes and associated risks, controls, and control metrics
• You will provide quality control and analytical support to GBAM tax functions
• You will conduct analysis and drive resolution of complex organizational problems and initiatives
• You will communicate with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support required from them
• You will partner with control and governance organizations
Responsibilities:
- Leads end-to-end resolution of complex client issues and inquiries related to tax and credit reporting, often requiring significant research and engagement of business functional experts
- Conducts root cause analysis and drives solutions to address organizational challenges and initiatives
- Performs quality control and analytical support to ensure high performance accuracy
- Develops and implements new processes and procedures, and modifies existing procedures to ensure they are accurate and up to date
- Supports operational team projects and production of executive-level reports and presentations for senior management
- Identifies, facilitates, and supports process improvements, requirements, and initiatives across multiple stakeholders

Required Skills:
• You will have previous experience within global banking or markets operations functions
• You will have data collection, analysis, and reporting experience
• You will have the ability to influence and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders
• You will have excellent Excel skills, with proficiency in other Microsoft applications.
