Job Description:

US Payments turns technology shifts into scalable, controlled treasury solutions for clients across segments and industries. This role sits with the US Real-Time Payments (RTP) Product team at the intersection of data, risk, and commercial strategy—helping us make faster, better decisions with clear evidence. We are looking for a highly self-managing analyst who thrives on detailed analytical work, builds durable routines, and is energized by operating in a regulated, high-stakes environment (RTP, Digital Disbursements, Recipient Select, Pay by Bank, ACH, Account Validation, Check Disbursements, and beyond).

Responsibilities:

- Own a repeatable competitive and market monitoring cadence for B2B and B2C payments (RTP and adjacent rails), combining external research with internal partner inputs (Emerging Payments, Retail, Card, Trade, GWIM, Markets, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Technology) and data analytics.

- Translate findings into crisp, executive-ready visual insights: where we are winning/losing, what is changing, and what it means for growth, client experience, and risk posture.

- Build and maintain business cases (volume, revenue, cost, loss/risk assumptions) that support prioritization decisions and measure realized outcomes over time.

- Run structured “voice of client” capture (inputs, themes, quantified pain points) and connect it to performance and risk data to inform product discussions.

Product Operational Planning and Analysis:

- Support requirements and controls documentation by translating business needs, data findings, and risk considerations into clear problem statements, acceptance criteria, and operational readiness artifacts.

- Work day-to-day with Product, Operations, Technology, Digital Channels, Sales, and Risk partners to drive alignment, unblock dependencies, and ensure decisions are well-documented and audit-ready.

- Build and evolve performance dashboards and deep-dive analyses (adoption, client behavior, unit economics, operational KPIs), including anomaly/variance analysis and clear narratives on drivers.

- Develop, enhance, and run risk routines (metric definitions, data sourcing, controls, reporting, issue tracking) to monitor exposure, limits, exceptions, and emerging trends; escalate with clear, evidence-based recommendations.

• Maintain internal and client-facing materials that explain product performance, operating model, and risk controls in a clear and accurate way.

• Develop, enhance and maintain both internal and client-facing marketing collateral

Risk and Control mindset:

You naturally look for what could break, where controls are needed, and how to measure and monitor risk over time—especially in fast-moving, time-sensitive environments.

Role Focus:

This is an analytics and risk-management role embedded within a product team. You will contribute to strategy and feature discussions, but success is measured by the quality of analysis, controls, and decision support that you will deliver. There is potential to advance into Product Management in the future if so-desired.

Required Skills:

- Strong communication skills - verbal and written

- Demonstrated ability to self-manage: define the problem, build a plan, and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal oversight.

• Ability to juggle multiple workstreams, prioritize ruthlessly, and communicate tradeoffs early.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize work responsibilities

- Exceptional attention to detail and rigorous focus on accuracy, reconciliation, and consistency across deliverables.

• Strong project hygiene: version control, documentation, and repeatable routines that scale.

- Advanced organizational skills

- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (data modeling, pivoting, structured storytelling).

• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau) and building repeatable reporting is a plus.

• Comfort using AI tools to accelerate research, summarization, and first-pass analysis—paired with strong judgment and validation.

- Experience creating dashboards/reports in Tableau is a plus, but not required

- Experience developing and analyzing business performance and financials (KPIs, revenue/cost drivers, variance analysis, forecasting).

- Treasury and payments products experience (or strong interest in payment rails, settlement, fraud/operational risk) preferred.

• Ability to coordinate across functions and regions and drive work to closure through partners.

• Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities often shift and time-sensitive initiatives are brought in — without sacrificing rigor, controls, or quality.

- Ability to coordinate across various functions and regions

• Intellectual curiosity and/or advanced analytical thinking (hypothesis-driven analysis, root-cause, variance/anomaly detection)

• Risk management mindset (controls, KRIs/KPIs, issue tracking, escalation)

• Business and financial analysis (unit economics, profitability, forecasting)

• Data storytelling (executive-ready narratives and concise recommendations)

• Stakeholder management and operating cadence (cross-functional coordination, follow-through)

• Process discipline (documentation, repeatability, audit readiness)

Desired skills:

- Bachelor's Degree preferred

- Some experience with treasury payments products

- Experience of working in a large, global financial institution

- Some experience with analyzing and reporting business financials
