Role Description:

This role serves as a critical front-office support function within the Equity Derivatives trading environment, delivering real-time trade and lifecycle support across both Vanilla and Structured products. Positioned on the trading floor, the role operates as a central point of coordination between Trading, Sales, Operations, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution, risk management, and issue resolution across the trade lifecycle.

The position is responsible for managing complex derivative processes, including payment events, barrier monitoring, corporate actions, fixings, and swap resets, while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of trade data. It plays a key role in resolving front-to-back discrepancies, supporting reconciliations, and ensuring timely and accurate trade maintenance and amendments.

Success in this role requires strong ownership, diligence, responsiveness, and the ability to operate effectively in a high-performance, fast-paced environment. The individual must demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, translating technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for audiences at all levels. Continuous interaction with front-office teams is essential, requiring sound judgment and the ability to prioritise and resolve queries in real time.

In addition to business-as-usual activities, the role drives operational excellence through process optimization and automation, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and improve scalability of support functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Exotic and Flow Derivative Trading desks and equivalent sales teams across all structured products including Notes, Autocallables and Monti Carlo simulation
  • Lifecycle Management: - Monitoring and booking of Derivatives payment events, barrier monitoring, corporate actions, fixings, and swap resets. Provide calculation sheets for complex payoffs
  • Ensuring that daily emails sent to the inbox and Bloomberg chats are dealt in a swift manner and prioritized accordingly.
  • Trade Maintenance, reviewing queries and performing amendments on OTC Exotic Derivatives and vanilla products
  • Review market data and ensure that it is accurate.
  • Represent the group and face off to partner groups
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Reviewing front to back and exchange reconciliation breaks

What we are looking for:

  • Experience within equities or derivatives environments, with deep understanding of trade lifecycle processes
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and analytical skillset
  • Proven ability to operate under pressure with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver concise executive-level summaries
  • Demonstrated track record of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Will consider recent graduates with strong academic, A degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or a similar field
