Job Description:
This job is responsible for the day-to-day resolution of complex problems and the research and execution of complex transactions for a single site/business unit or smaller business unit(s). Key responsibilities include strategically advising upon the design, development, and implementation of products, systems, and services using discretion within the project management methodologies.

Line of Business Job Description:

The TFX Investigations function manages high-risk, time-sensitive, and regulator-facing investigations with direct exposure to financial crime, sanctions, and cross-border transaction risk. The current operating model requires a dedicated leader to drive strategic execution, advanced problem resolution, and future-state transformation while ensuring consistency with enterprise risk and compliance expectations.

This role elevates decision-making, reduces escalation latency, and strengthens ownership of complex investigations that materially impact client outcomes and regulatory posture.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day resolution of complex TFX investigations and the strategic design, development, and execution of investigative processes, systems, and controls. The role acts as a senior advisor and execution leader, applying discretionary judgment across high-risk cases, special initiatives, and operational enhancements within the TFX investigations space.

Responsibilities:

  • Advises on the design, development, and implementation of complex products, systems, and services in an operations environment using discretionary judgment
  • Advises on projects and directs activities of a team related to special initiatives
  • Advises as a technical expert in assigned area, providing an understanding of the business unit's operations processes and implications on other groups within the operations function
  • Consults on present-state, develops alternative future-state approaches, and facilitates implementations by creating a clear and coherent approach to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control
  • Identifies and recommends responsibilities and accountabilities for key programs/projects
  • Own resolution of the most complex, high-risk TFX Wire investigations requiring advanced judgment and cross-functional coordination.
  • Advise on the design and implementation of enhanced investigative workflows, controls, and escalation frameworks specific to TFX Wire risk typologies.
  • Lead special initiatives related to regulatory change, sanctions updates, and cross-border payment risk mitigation.
  • Consults on present-state, develops alternative future-state approaches, and facilitates implementations by creating a clear and coherent approach to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control
  • Serve as a technical expert on TFX Wire investigative standards, controls, and downstream operational impacts.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, AML, and Technology teams to implement future-state investigative solutions.
  • Define clear accountability models for TFX Wire initiatives and ensure disciplined execution through project management rigor.
  • Identify systemic risks and proactively drive remediation to reduce repeat issues and regulatory exposure.
  • Lead and develop investigators and team leads, with accountability for performance, quality, and risk outcomes.
  • Champion inclusion, fairness, and psychological safety within a high-pressure investigative environment.
  • Drive process discipline, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
  • Actively identify, escalate, and resolve operational and compliance risks.
  • Develop bench strength and succession readiness within TFX Wire investigations.
  • Reduces regulatory and reputational risk through stronger ownership of complex investigations.
  • Improves cycle times and decision quality on high-impact cases.
  • Creates a scalable, future-ready TFX Wire investigative model aligned with Responsible Growth.
  • Improves resiliency and alignment across US and GBS investigation requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Payments experience with projects, production support activities, and/or operations
  • Cross functional with strong business analysis, problem solving, quality management and organization skills
  • Participate in and drive collaborative efforts to advance tools, technology, and ways of working to better serve an evolving client base
  • Willing to learn and adapt to change
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office, Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint capability
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with business stakeholders and gain trust in order to guide and influence them
  • Ability to understand the bigger picture (risks, dependencies)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in SQL, Alteryrx, Python, BI Tools like Tableau, MicroStrategies, Cognos, etc.
  • Familiarity with developing Tableau dashboards
