Job Description:
This job is responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of project/small program deliverables which requires the engagement of multiple teams. Key responsibilities include communicating work objectives, coordinating delivery, facilitating sync points across teams, providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables, and managing program risk and compliance to standards. Job expectations include ensuring delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline, and cost.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current systems and procedures to design strategic solutions that ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Set and update financial targets for multiple technology programs sponsored by various lines of business at the bank.
  • Translate business and financial business requirements into technical requirements needed to build computer programs for trades and collateral processing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and malfunctions, and work with developers to restore normal functioning.
  • Use computers to analyze and solve business problems, such as developing integrated reporting.
  • Define the goals of the system and devise flow charts and diagrams that describe logical operational steps of programs.
  • Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles.
  • Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs that a computer program should address.
  • Expand or modify systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow.
  • Utilize finance knowledge and literacy to determine how computer systems for different projects and needs should be built.
  • Coordinate and link computer systems with different business and technology groups to increase compatibility and enable information sharing.
  • Analyze information processing or computation needs, and plan and design computer systems.
  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, or related: and
  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related Quantitative occupation.
  • Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Translating complex business and financial requirements into functional and technical specifications for custom software applications using tools using JIRA;
  • Analyze and optimize financial targets across multi-million-dollar technology portfolios using Excel-based modeling and forecasting tools;
  • Applying knowledge of Futures & Options, OTC clearing business and Collateral & Margin process to accomplish business goals and ensure delivery of business and systems requirements for projects;
  • Translating complex market & credit risk requirements for fixed income, rates, commodities, equity, cash & cash equivalent asset classes into detailed functional requirements by utilizing knowledge in technology frameworks and financial products and models while working closely with business partners; and,
  • Performing data analysis and reporting using Jira and Confluence to capture and analyze project data, derive actionable insights, and make informed decisions.

New York pay range:

$180,000.00 - $190,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible
