Job Description:
The Alternative Investment Technical Specialist associate will provide support to the firm's Financial Advisors and clients on a suite of hedge fund products in order to drive utilization of those products. The Specialist will have direct coverage of advisors and third-party asset managers and will serve as an essential resource in the creation, presentation, and execution of customized proposals to UHNW and Institutional clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships and originate new business from financial advisors and portfolio managers within BofA Merrill Wealth Management.
- Serve as subject matter expert on hedge fund products, platform, and industry to advisors, clients, and other specialists alike.
- Design, present, and execute custom portfolios of hedge funds for significant wealth clients of the firm.
- Deliver input on commerciality of prospective third-party hedge fund partners to internal stakeholders. Provide assessment through the lens of advisor or client demand.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years’ experience in financial services
- Knowledge/experience with alternative investments
- Hold or attain Series 7 and 66 licenses within 120 days of hire
- CFA/CAIA not required but a plus
