Job Profile Summary:
This job is responsible for managing a major component of a product line, function, or multiple operations units within a large segment of the company's operations support functions. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing processes, programs, and systems to improve efficiency and ensure operational quality standards are met. Job expectations include managing two or more levels of managers.
The Global Head of Global Markets Shared Operations Reconciliation and Accounting is responsible for leading a complex global organization that is responsible for delivering reconciliation activities across multiple products and markets. The candidate will set and execute on reconciliation strategy including leading the team through significant platform transformation and adoption of AI.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a large, global operations team of 150+ employees across North America, Europe, and Asia, responsible for delivering reconciliation activities across multiple products and markets
- Set and execute on the long‑term strategy and vision for global reconciliation processes, ensuring consistency, scalability, and strong controls across the organization
- Provide leadership and coordination during system or technology issues that impact financial records or clients, working closely with Technology and Production Support teams to resolve issues efficiently
- Lead a multi‑year transformation of reconciliation operations, including:
- Implementing a more standardized and consolidated workflow model
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase automation, efficiency, and accuracy
- Supporting the development of enhanced subledger and journal automation solutions that strengthen controls and reduce manual effort
- Establish and oversee governance frameworks for reconciliation activities, including balance sheet substantiation and control ownership
- Partner with Finance, Controllers, and other enterprise teams to support core business processes, including regulatory reporting, month‑end close, and executive‑level financial reporting
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Audit, and Compliance partners to identify, manage, and reduce operational and financial risk, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal control standards
- Engages with stakeholders to identify issues and control improvements for remediation and ensures issue resolution
- Participates in developing long-range strategic plans and develops and implements short-term tactical and profit plans
- Ensures operational quality and customer service levels are maintained in a cost effective manner
- Participates in implementation of updates and changes that affect operation segments and monitors performance to ensure operational quality standards are met
- Manages functions carrying a substantial risk of exposure and potential loss with significant impact on major corporate customer relationships

Required Qualifications:
- Role requires Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam AND Series 99 or ability to obtain within 120 days
- Minimum 10+ years' experience leading large, global operational teams
- Experience building enterprise-wide reconciliation frameworks and tooling
- Experience in supporting and navigating complex infrastructure and subledgers
- Experience working across various internal and external stakeholders including Audit, Global Compliance and Risk, Auditors, Regulatory Agencies
- Strong analytical, communication and executive engagement skills
- Experience in leveraging and driving adoption of AI tooling
- Proven track record managing teams through use of data and analytics to assess continuous improvement opportunities
