Job Description*

Bank of America is looking for a Starburst Platform Support Data Engineer to support new onboardings, GEN AI projects on Starburst. This position involves end-to-end platform administration & support tasks across the Starburst shared platform. Applicants must have strong experience in production support activities such as version upgrades, patch installations and migrations across environments besides other activities. This individual will perform as a contributing member of EBIT Support – Starburst team to handle L3 application and platform support activities. This person must have strong professional consulting skills and the ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities*
- Installation and Configuration of Starburst.
- Coordinate/Plan & Execution activities related to platform maintenance, Disaster Recovery and Software release management
- L3+ escalation for Platform Issue resolution, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Configuration and tuning of production and lower-level environments
- Perform Capacity & Stability monitoring - Assist with Platform metrics collection and reporting
- Contribute to definition, review, documentation & communication of standards and Best Practices
- Create alerting, dashboards, SLA/SLO metrics, and capacity planning models.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for cluster performance, failures, and foundational stability issues.
Requirements
Required Qualifications*:
- Hands on Experience with the Starburst Software Installation and Configuration
- Working knowledge of Openshift/ Kubernetes
- Proven troubleshooting & issues resolution skills
- Ability to analyze & communicate root cause and resolution steps
- Familiarity with Starburst Software Best Practices
- Working knowledge of the Starburst software security model and adaptability
- Starburst Software Installation/Configuration & openshift containers
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Hands-on Installation & configuration experience with Starburst.
- Experience with connectivity configuration for Starburst
Education*: BE/MCA
Certifications If Any: RedHat OpenShift (Optional)
Experience Range: 5-8 Years
