Process Overview*

CORPORATE AUDIT RISK TECHNOLOGY team is responsible for the management and delivery of Corporate Audit applications for the bank’s enterprise control functions. We also manage GT&O’s business operations, business process and controls, workforce management, Simplify & Improve (SIM) governance, and initiative and master planning processes.

Job Description*

An effective Lead Business Analyst to be a strong partner with technology team and be able to drive conversations with business independent of Feature Leads with the Product Owners and should be able to drive the junior BAs

Responsibilities

  • Influence stakeholder strategy and understand their needs to help envision and create a solution to solve a problem.
  • Establish and build relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations
  • Lead cost/benefit analysis to align technology solutions to business strategy.
  • Gather and catalog functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests.
  • Act as the subject matter expert within the business/technical domain to support scope and requirement decisions
  • Determine the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications across a business/technical domain; assist with identifying integration points and the end-to-end solution design.
  • Ensure changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies.
  • For vendor applications, work closely with the vendor to ensure changes meet bank requirements including assisting with acceptance testing where needed.
  • Assist users and development teams in application testing and troubleshooting and may help with test planning and configuring test solutions to validate functional and system needs.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to create, analyze, and improve processes and solutions.
  • Mentor more junior analysts.
  • Refine/Details user launch MVP features working with PM & Delivery Manager for - Tech Enablers & other pre-requisite platform considerations
  • Collaborate on product feature prioritization with PM
  • 1PI Epics backlog readiness (Better Predictability)
  • Epic Refinement – (Functionality, Process Maps, UX screen flows, Business Rules, Test Data)
  • Identify Dependencies & Risks - Working with other BA Leads for better management of interdependencies and early Risk awareness
  • Mitigate Risk for Pre-PI Planning
  • Lead and collaborate dependencies discussions with other BA Leads
  • Document Target State Tool Process Maps (with System Integration details), i/p for this is from Business Process from Process Advisor
  • JIRA - High Quality epics aligning with ECM standards (i.e. Following Epic template – Dependencies, Risks, right labels, detailed AC, NFRs and Value proposition of the feature)
  • Efficient solution designing recommendation w/FL (define strategic solution to avoid re-work)
  • Documents business benefits and customer value add of the Features being developed for the PI
  • Business Rules Documentation
  • Responsible to ensure scope change pre-pi or during PI goes through Change Management process

Experience Range* 15-19 years

  • Good understanding of MVP Feature projected in next PI by PM & Lead
  • Contribute & provide feedback to Epics Scope 
  • Contribute to process maps wherever necessary
  • Contribute to Business Rules Repo
  • Identifying automation areas
  • Proposing potential options of solution 
  • Challenging UX design for app performance and sustainability
  • Negotiating with PMs/POs for business most value add feature in case of enhancements
  • Able to drive detailed interdependencies with peer Analysts
  • Able to understand detailed design document and ensuring is reviewed with DOS
