Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
As a software Engineer, you will be working with some highly talented IVR developers delivering complex self service solutions for the contact center using Genesys and Nuance technologies. This role includes, but is not limited to, solution development using proven best practices, testing and support of IVR applications in a Cloud environment
As a software engineer the person will need to ensure that the systems design and solutions are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practices coding/quality control practices that are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
Automates manual release activities
Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of IT experience/Software Development
3+ years of hands-on software development experience in IVR or full stack programming
Previous experience with Speech enabled IVR development using Genesys or/Nuance Framework is a plus
Experience with Java/JavaScript & Eclipse SDK
Experience through multiple software implementations and have developed both depth and breadth in IVR and Genesys technologies
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity in deploying contact center solutions in a private or public cloud environment
Experience in building/deploying applications on MS Azure or openshift platform
